The Wealth Leader will strategize and implement initiatives that will grow the Wealth Business which includes both Retirement and Investment.
The Wealth Leader will be responsible for the P&L of the Business and will have accountability for driving new account acquisition, retention of existing accounts and expansion of client relationships within the business and across the other Mercer lines of business.
As the Wealth Leader, you would be expected to :
Defines and implements long term strategy, direction and focus to drive the business.
Manages aggressive revenue and operating targets
Identify and develop new products / solutions, new markets / geographies that can expand business opportunities for the Wealth business
Leverages on financial data to identify actions that can impact the short and long term profitability of the business
Evaluates market opportunities to identify the areas wherein Mercer can develop and grow organically and inorganically
Develop programs that will drive sales
Be able to manage the impact of economic and regulatory trends and adjust the plans accordingly to minimize impact on financials
Deploy programs to retain and nurture existing clients
Implement programs that will improve Mercer’s thought leadership in the Wealth space through industry forums, association membership, etc.
Responsible for actively managing and delivering the budgeted revenue and NOI for the Wealth business
Drives and reviews the monthly forecast with the team, Country CEO and region
Identify areas for improvement that can impact the profitability of the business
Manage the Accounts Receivables (AR), Bad Debts, Work in Progress (WIP) that can impact profitability. Put in place actions to address issues.
Responsible for managing and developing client relationships in the Wealth business, including leading and conducting actions arising from client reviews
Review existing client relationships and identify client needs that can be addressed by Mercer’s solutions across Health, Wealth and Career
Work and leverage on the Sales team of Health business to deliver a comprehensive value proposition to clients and prospects
Develop and implement a Client Growth Plan to the top country accounts identified and work with the other Business Leaders (Health and Career) to deliver the actions agreed and identify opportunities within the Wealth client base to enable to cross sell Retirement and Investments solutions.
Ensure compliance to internal compliance and legal and regulatory environment
Manages and develops the team capabilities
To be successful for this role, you should be :
a Bachelor degree holder or higher
Post graduate studies (MBA, CFA) is an advantage
5-10 years of experience as an investment specialist with a strong understanding of retirement planning
Communication and confident individual who can effectively speak to banks and fund managers
Understanding of consulting business is a bonus but not a must
Team management experience
Strong business acumen
Understands P&L, people management , accounts retention and management
