Job Summary Through its Real Estate Division, Manulife Financial is actively involved in the ownership, development and management of commercial real estate.

The portfolio includes a diversified mix of prime office and industrial properties in key metropolitan centers throughout Canada, the United States and Japan.

In addition to equity real estate, the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) department manages Manulife’s space requirements and own-

use facilities to accommodate the Company’s 23,000 employees worldwide. As at June 30, 2016, Manulife’s real estate portfolio totaled a carrying value of Cdn$19.

8 billion and 62.4 mission square feet.The MBPS Lease Administration Team shall provide consistent support for specific functions in the areas of portfolio management, contract review, lease abstraction and database management, through on-

time delivery of reports, and continuous improvements resulting to optimum service delivery to the business units, Corporate Real Estate Headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

These include the support in the requisition of lease contracts, with constant communication to contract / facility managers / contacts per location for primary data captured in the tenancy agreements.

The lease summaries will be the footprint of key lease provisions, for posting into a consolidated database for all facilities-

related contracts, aiding the production of reports for a comprehensive view of costs and commitments and for real estate strategic planning. Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist and support in the delivery of real estate portfolio database management, lease administration and lease abstraction services
  • Assist in implementation of web-based data management system, update files and records, create therein if necessary
  • Confirm data integrity and liaise with property administration managers to secure contracts / agreements / property records and to ensure correct base rent, Common Area Maintenance, real estate taxes, applicable local taxes, insurance, etc.
  • Record and extract lease clauses / terms / conditions / options into database and track pertinent lease information (i.
  • e., inter-entity contracts, third-party tenancies, expirations, renewals, mid-term amendments, etc.)

  • Maintain and update property information such as unit information, floors, and area for units and building
  • Ongoing updates to lease records as required including tenant contact information, renewal processing, and other updates as required
  • Monitoring of critical dates and option status information
  • Perform self-audit of work done to ensure accuracy
  • Assist and prepare periodic reports for management purposes
  • Qualifications :

  • Day-shift operations
  • Graduate of any Business-related course (Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Administration, Accounting Technology, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills with the advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Extensive knowledge in MS Office applications
  • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work effectively in a changing environment
