Position Description

The person hired for the position of PP Analyst will be responsible for the design and implementation of SAP PP software throughout the enterprise.

This position requires knowledge and expertise with deploying the SAP PP module. The person hired for the position of PP Analyst will be responsible for requirements gathering, configuration and design of the PP system, and support Polaris deployments from blueprint through Hypercare.

Guided by domain knowledge and expertise, the PP Analyst will work with cross-functional teams from different 3M businesses and countries to successfully deploy the SAP PP module.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  • Design, create, and document SAP PP applications and functionality in support of Supply Chain functions in 3M businesses and subsidiaries.
  • This includes full lifecycle deliverables from Blueprinting to Deployment.

  • Perform configuration analysis across SAP Make to Deliver (MTD) Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Supply Network Planning (SNP) and associated integration points
  • Resolve Level 2 queries (i.e. break / fix, etc) that are assigned to them by the Queue Manager
  • Accountable for end to end resolution of incidents; track and monitor incidents throughout the lifecycle
  • Be a single contact point for all user queries
  • Collaborates as needed with other SAP support team members on configuration design questions and analysis
  • Facilitates interactions and escalations with appropriate groups (e.g. 3M SAP Solution teams, Global Infrastructure, etc)
  • Accountable for completion of all communication activities back to the consumer (while communication may be executed by others, case manager is accountable for the completion of communication activities)
  • Meet or exceed established SAP Support Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Update procedures, operation instructions, and any other documentation impacted by system changes
  • Support deployments in terms of configuration, FD design, process standardization, training and go live support.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with IT application development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP Production Planning (PP)
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to work across a highly matrixed organization to accomplish goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline
  • Must have good writing skills and be extremely well organized
  • Technical aptitude and desire to absorb and apply technical information as required
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete day to day tasks with minimum amount of direction
  • Should possesses strong understanding of application development and system design
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills to objectively understand an issue and negotiate a resolution
  • Experience with Lean / Agile methodology
