Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Internship Program Manulife’s ERM Internship Program offers an incredible opportunity for you to contribute your talent and ideas, learn from real work experience, connect with valuable contacts in the financial services industry, and kick-

start your career. The ERM Internship Program lasts approximately 30 working days and is targeted to students entering the final year of their undergraduate program.

You will gain exposure in the management of strategic, market, credit, insurance and operational risks. In addition, you will also have an opportunity to work with other local finance functions like Accounting, Actuarial Financials and MIS, as well as other departments within the Company.

Throughout the internship, you will receive mentoring, coaching and support from experienced managers to develop technical expertise, business integrity, a wide breadth of knowledge and superior communication and leadership skills.

What you will be accountable for :

  • Assist in the conduct of Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) workshops
  • Support Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance rationalization initiatives
  • Analyze risk data and build reports highlighting results
  • Support day-to-day risk management and data protection operations
  • Complete a capstone project that aims to resolve an existing business issue that would be presented to business leaders
  • Organize meetings and take minutes
  • Participate in other ad hoc tasks and projects
  • Qualifications

    The skills and qualifications you will need to be successful :

  • University students in their final year who are majoring in Accountancy, Business / Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely
