Department Overview

The Team Member Technologies (TMT) team is comprised of Enterprise Endpoint & Mobility Services, Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Services, Technology Connection and Specialized Desktop Support Services.

About the Role

Senior Engineer with advance level of System administration skills encompassing physical and virtual platform. A flair on networks.

Provides technical support associated with operating systems and applications. Actively involved in the Incident Management a flair to problem management methodologies.

As an escalation point for operating system support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to L1 and L2 staff in resolution of escalated issues and / or complex production, application or system problems.

Be part of internal projects in terms of execution, interacting with stakeholders and maintaining required documentation and handover.

Assures quality and compliance requirements are met as per the required standards defined by Wells Fargo India Solutions.

Market Skills and Certifications

  • 3+ years of experience in System Administration
  • Quickly adapt to the business objective of the organization and adhere to the policies and procedures
  • Proficient knowledge on Microsoft Operating System (Windows XP, Windows 7 and Server Platform of Windows Server 2003 and 2008) is a Mandate
  • A good understanding of network terminologies, Cisco products and should have worked on basic to intermediary level on networks. (LAN / WAN)
  • Working Knowledge of Citrix and VMware Technologies, with specific skills on Citrix XenApp 4.5 / 6.5, Xendesktop 5 and VmWare Vsphere 5.1 / 4.5 is a mandate
  • Should have working knowledge on Windows Server administration principles
  • Should have strong skills on incident management and should have understanding and participation skills on problem management space
  • A strong collaborator willing to tap into past experiences and relationships in order to accomplish goals
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously using a wide range of skills
  • Ability to actively and professionally participate in detailed discussions with various levels of management, senior engineering teams and architects
  • Ability to collaborate with distributed team members on new technology initiatives
  • Strong customer focus and ability to translate high level customer requirements into actionable business and technical requirements
  • Knowledge of imaging, backup and storage solutions
  • Should have worked as an elevated support engineer, handling escalation and providing the needed fix with no compromise on SLA and delivery
  • Should have basic understanding of Call Management and Ticketing systems like BMC Remedy
  • Should participate and engage in training initiative be it up scaling ones knowledge, as well as training fellow team members and cross functional teams if the need arise
  • Should have knowledge and skills to execute and structure process and technical documentation, should have proven previous records in documentation space
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Should have exposure working with team distributed among various geographical locations and cultural background
