This is an exciting opportunity for a GSS Centre Director to join a leading infrastructure consultancy and contribute to the growth and development of a business with a reputation for technical excellence and strong client relationships.
Primary Purpose of the Position :
Lead, manage and oversee the operational aspects of the Global Shared Services Centre in Manila. In conjunction with the GSS Steering Committee, contribute to the overall strategy, leadership, values, culture and decision-
making of the group. Work closely with business leaders, Group process owners and core corporate support teams in areas of Finance, IT and HR to design, deliver and shape the company’s Global Shared Service functions to create an efficient, effective and sustainable worldwide model.
Lead and manage the day to day running of the Global Shared Services (GSS) Centre in Manila.
Oversee the local GSS Finance, HR and Administrative functions including provision of services to respective country entities (SMEC Philippines and KTP ROHQ) where in scope
Directly supervise the GSS heads of IT, Finance and HR.
Monitor and report on financial performance of the ROHQ entity. Ensure full statutory compliance of the entity. Manage costs and forecast and budget planning for the ROHQ.
Ensure intercompany invoices are issued promptly to ensure tight cashflow management locally
Provide advice and recommendations on GSS resourcing, performance management, staff engagement initiatives, salary reviews and promotions and team structures to GSS steerco.
Coordinate the monthly GSS steering committee meetings. Consolidate presentations on HR, Finance, IT and centre updates.
Drive team engagement and establish a set of values to promote achievement and continuous improvement within the Global Shared Services teams.
Ensure transparent communication between Global Shared Services and Management and report on operational updates and issues to the GSS steering committee on support, staff planning and development.
Work closely with internal and external global shared service centre colleagues and collaborate with corporate, GPOs and regional teams.
Understand and deliver on the Key Performance Indicators and operational metrics in order to meet client service standards.
Lead the execution of the governance and direction for all reasonable and appropriate steps necessary to identify, classify and protect all forms of personal, confidential, business and other protected or regulated data.
Embrace and lead a culture of inclusiveness and multi-cultural engagement.
Foster a workplace culture with a high level of awareness of occupational health and safety.

Evidence that Global Shared Services activities are adding value while maximising the use of resources for the company.
Deliver consistent, positive results with the best balance of investment and efficiency in the Global Shared Service activities.
Establish and ensure GSS Service Level Agreement KPIs are consistently achieved.
Maintain a high-level of GSS internal customer satisfaction with demonstrated feedback through regular customer satisfaction surveys.
Recruit, develop and retain talent and high-performing teams through continuous learning, honest feedback, rigorous development and disciplined talent management
Mutually satisfactory relationships with key stakeholders.
Positive feedback from stakeholders demonstrating effective communication, coordination, and working relations with SJ Group employees and management.
Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.
10+ years’ experience preferably with a concentration in the delivery of services in an international shared services setting (Philippines experience preferred).
Strong leadership skills; operates as a global leader with understanding and appreciation for regional differences.
Proven success in establishing and managing a global shared services team.
Strong capability in assessing, developing and hiring talent.
Team and action oriented; proactive in prioritising own work load and assigning responsibility to others; and monitoring progress to ensure resolution of any issues in advance of deadlines.
Ability to establish a culture focused on continuous improvement while building employee-centric repeatable and sustainable processes.
