Project Manager Office Fit out & Construct (BPO)

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Project Manager / Construction Manager is responsible in assisting the Project Lead in the effective implementation of the Project.

He coordinates with the Client, Consultants, Contractors and other Trades involved in the Project to ensure the timely completion of the Project within the agreed budget.

He is assigned to the Construction Site to manage daily activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes, supervises, and controls activities related to the Project;
  • Report directly to the SPM / AD regarding key coordination and monitoring details;
  • To manage & monitor the successful delivery of the Project in accordance with the Client requirements;
  • To coordinate and supervise the design, procurement, physical works & installations, testing & commissioning, in accordance with the design standards and the contract for the Project;
  • To closely monitor the Contractors Programs and Project Master Program for the Project, and to report any potential risks to the Sr. PM / PD;
  • To assist the Project Team in overseeing the implementation of adequate Health & Safety measures, such that the Contractors and Consultants implement acceptable working practices.
  • A zero accident and safe working philosophy is the required objective;
  • Reviews actual progress on site for any Monthly Progress Claims submitted by Contractors;
  • Reviews contractual obligations of the Contractors and notify the Sr. PM / PD if terms and conditions are not being met;
  • Assist the Project & Construction Management Team in managing under-performing Contractors / Vendors, and to report to the Sr.
  • PM / PD on any issues;
  • Ability to read, absorb and understand the various standards with which the Projects are required to be constructed;
  • Responsible for managing the construction phase team allocated, and ensure that the quality systems are implemented on all phases of the services;
  • To attend and participate in key weekly coordination meetings with Client, Project Consultants and Contractors;
  • Other duties that may be assigned as deemed appropriate for the Assistant Project Manager / Construction Manager position.
  • MINIUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Professional License
  • Previous PM experience highly desired
  • Previous experience in Interior Fit-out or New Build construction preferably in BPO, Multinational companies
  • Strong organisational skills, Strong Analytical ability required
  • General knowledge of Architectural and Engineering works
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in Office tools, Excel to Expert level and MS Project or any Scheduling software
  • Completely fluent in English, and a local language is desirable
