Generally responsible for the protection of life and company properties through effective security systems and programs to ensure a safe and secure work place.
Responsible for the site’s contractors’ safety through planning, implementation and monitoring of the company’s safety programs for the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace through the prevention, identification and correction of unsafe conditions and unsafe practices.
Develop safety standards, documents and practices for the site’s emergency preparedness and response capability.
Provide continual Business Continuity Risk Assessment and drives development of comprehensive policies, procedures, training, protocols, business continuity plans and implements risk management strategies and processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Takes on leadership in initiating, coordinating and supervising the implementation, review and analysis of safety, security and traffic programs and policies at all levels Site wide.
Takes on the role as Risk Manager and evaluate and review the adequacy of the company’s internal control based on the Business Continuity Framework in addressing risks and accomplishing the company’s goals and objectives;
Coordinates with and assists government and other sectoral groups in providing effective safety, security and maintaining peace and order within the Site and its immediate vicinity.
Monitors the day-to-day conduct of safety, security and traffic activities within the Site and its perimeter areas.
Provides advisory services to top management on business continuity, emergency preparedness and response and security matters.
Prepares and presents periodic Safety and Security reports.
Assumes responsibility and works with 3rd party suppliers for the implementation of company policies, rules and regulations, as well as enforce the discipline, attendance, work performance, training and development of personnel under his supervision.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Facilities, Environment, Health & Safety and Security Manager.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any related field, preferably specializing in Contractor’s Safety, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Security / Protective services or its equivalent
Should be a Safety Practitioner or Certified Security Professional or its international equivalent
Hands-on experience in security operations and with solid background in occupational health and safety
Five years Safety and Security service experience in an industrial setting
Proficient in Investigation, Risk Analysis, Crisis Management
Strong background in Business Continuity Management and Emergency Preparedness programs
Highly motivated, with ability to further create and develop programs
Flexible to work on a night shift
Proven record of excellent people skills, including good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in training / disseminating Safety and Security information to staff
Excellent computer skills with good knowledge of MS Office applications
