Has BS degree in any of the following : Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Engineering
Knowledge in multi-threading, data structures, algorithms, flow structures
Knowledge on Linux development (Ubuntu / Fedora)
Knowledge on Software versioning and revision control system
Troubleshoots effectively using logs and various advance debugging tools
Good to have
Scripting (Python, shell) and Unit Test automation
Knowledge on any bug tracking tools, Agile tools such as (Kanban, Rally, etc.), static code analysis tools
Knowledge on memory dump, profiling, data collection analysis
Knowledge on Editors (vi, vim, eclipse, slickedit, ultraedit)
Role / Responsibility
Good verbal and written communication skills with the flexibility to effectively communicate information, issues, concerns across different functional areas.
Submits code in accordance to industry coding standards, which has gone through thorough unit test and code review, whether formal or informal, with peers.
Cognizant of firmware delivery cycle and implements project shut-down procedures for code commits, abides to library commit hooks and policies, and code documentation.
Delivers the assigned component / module / subsystem including implementation of new functions and change requests, fixes of issues and other enhancements to the code within committed schedules and milestones to meet the requirements, promote customer ease of use, and better quality that minimizes technical support calls or field issues.
Creates design with clean and decoupled interfaces that supports evolving requirements while striving for a balance between customer requirements, quality, market requirements, hardware requirements and requirements to deliver multiple products.
