Job Description :
Maxim is seeking a Senior-Level Accountant. Assignment will be in Payroll Team.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Create and upload payment files, process and balance payroll;
Review of Inbound interfaces and HR changes, including validation of new Hires, terminations, rate changes, One Time Payments and direct deposit data;
Contact / respond to employee queries via emails or walkups within 24 hours;
Ensure all statutory reports are generated, audited and submitted on time;
Collaborate with upstream partners on projects impacting pay;
Contributing member of several process improvement projects including : documenting process, Internal controls, Workday and inbound interface upgrades;
Manage timekeeping group;
Accurate and timely processing of payroll
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor of Business Administration degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Preferably with 3 5 years of working experience in processing and managing payroll.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
A team player
Able to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner
Able to adjust to the holiday and work schedule of the supporting country payroll
Able to travel as needed for training and to meet key business partners

Preferred Qualifications Applicants preferably :
Able to learn and work with different applications and databases; WorkDay, SAP payroll or ADP GlobalView systems a plus
Proficient in MS Excel pivots, v-look ups & formulas
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks to completion
Solutions-oriented with effective problem solving skills
Excellent customer service skills with emphasis on customer satisfaction
Professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think outside of the box and identify methods of streamlining processes and increasing efficiency
Tax Reporting, Reconciliation and GL experience a plus.
Works with a sense of urgency and is proactive keeps on top of action item owners to complete tasks
Intolerant of recurring problems digs deep to find the root cause and fixes the problem
Successful candidate will be self-directed and have a high acumen for learning on the fly
Ability to work long days during peak periods required
Knowledge with Kronos Timekeeping a plus
