The person hired for this position will be responsible for providing intercompany accounting and reconciliation services to 3M subsidiaries will be requested to work in both SAP and Legacy system countries.

This position will also work as a liaison with countries and be the primary contact of internal clients for intercompany-

related matters within the scope of responsibility. The role will report to the Intercompany Team Leader and will be liaising with relevant parties in GSC and other country finance team.

Inter Company accounting staff responsibilities will include :

  • Provide intercompany and intra-company accounting and reconciliation services to 3M subsidiaries. The position is expected to be a primary of local finance teams
  • Responsible for Payable Ledger documents posting (invoice, CM and DM) and posting resolution
  • Responsible for closing operations pertaining to intercompany accounting, updating reconciliation worksheet, prepare journal entries and follow up of differences with subsidiaries
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to follow up issues
  • Ensure compliance to 3M Global Financial Standards, SOX and other regulations
  • Responsible for timely balance sheet account reconciliation and issue follow-up
  • Enhance KPIs to improve productivity and service quality
  • Engage in ad-hoc activities such as internal and external audits, tax audits, etc.
  • Participate in related projects, e.g. accounting centralization initiatives, Lean Six Sigma projects, etc.
  • Actively engage in team and company-wide activities
  • Other tasks related to ICO accounting and resolution
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Accounting or Finance-related degree
  • Experience in intercompany accounts payable is preferred
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
  • Experience in Shared Service Center for multinational corporation is preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Skills :

  • Ability to learn accounting systems quickly (SAP, AS 400, PeopleSoft)
  • Flexible to handle new assignment and willingness to learn
  • Cross-functional and cultural communication skills
  • Detailed-oriented and enjoys working with operational processes
  • Service and quality-oriented mindset
  • Structured approach to effectively and efficiently plan own workload
  • Team-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications particularly Microsoft Excel
