Responsible for all Research and Development policies, strategies and plans
Performs and / or assists in various phases of R&D and formulation development activities
Responsible in creating fact panels, procuring substantiation, and maintaining the R&D files. Will comply with GMP requirements and demonstrate ability to assist the R&D team in development of products, collecting all necessary documentation, including research papers, proofreading of advertising material, and maintaining the records.
Works with R&D Team to ensure promised turn-around times on analysis are met. Keeps abreast of current trends, practices, developments, and regulatory changes, which would impact products or formulations.
Demonstrates organization and good housekeeping habits. Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Food, Business, or Sciences. Master’s Degree a plus.
3-5 years’ experience in a research and development role, preferably familiar with technical product development and food manufacturing industry.
Requires understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Familiarity with multiple project management platforms and methodologies. Project Management Professional a plus Have knowledge of manufacturing process and equipment.
