Department Overview

Community Banking Risk Management is accountable for assessing and effectively managing all associated risks and to enable risk identification, measurement, monitoring, controls, and mitigation.

About the role

The incumbent will build a strong analytical and business foundation on the Branch Supervision Program providing superior customer service and timely resolution to research and support questions.

This foundation will in turn provide key metrics and reporting to enhance the end user experience and continuously improve the program.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand and support a data-driven, consistent process of surveillance and supervision for branch activities, with a particular emphasis on sales practices
  • Provide exceptional end user support, both written and verbal
  • Develop strong relationships with the detection strategy developers to understand the business impact, business rules and algorithms, and underlying data
  • Support efforts in collaboration with First Line and Second Line of Defense groups to research the workflow and real-time alerts capabilities
  • Market Skills and Certifications

    Essential Qualifications :

  • Candidate must be a graduate of a B.A. / B.S. College Degree (4 years) preferably in Applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences with a quantitative emphasis
  • Candidate must have at least 2 3 years of relevant experience in data mining and data processing
  • Candidate must have an extensive SQL coding skills (MS SQL, Teradata, UNIX or Oracle)
  • Prior experience working with analytic capabilities is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex
  • Knowledge of Consumer and Retail bank products, sales processes, data and systems
  • Knowledge of compliance controls and monitoring functions
  • Prior experience working with analytic capabilities is an advantage but not required
  • Must possess strong collaborative skills and demonstrated ability to execute effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with several business and functional areas
  • Ability to lead through adversity and adjust to changing priorities
  • Candidate must be willing to work on a permanent night shift (9 : 00PM 6 : 00AM) and be located at McKinley Hill, Taguig City
  • Internal only : Interested team members must have at least 12 months tenure in current role and not under current Corrective Action .
