MAIN MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Secure and improve service quality of FT’s Linux, Unix and Windows infrastructure and database estate by making sure they are patched within 2 levels of the latest version.

Support Cloud Only initiative by engaging teams and finding opportunities of migrating legacy and on-premise services to cloud based solutions.

Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within the agreed SLA

Participate and drive continuous improvement initiatives on services, products and processes.

Document processes and best practice approaches and improve existing documentation whenever necessary.

Consistently collaborate and embrace teamwork with various Manila and UK based teams.

Effectively and consistently share know-how via knowledge transfer sessions.

Participate in and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Length and Type of Job Relevant Experience :

At least 5 years of working experience in the IT industry.

At least one year of experience and solid exposure to cloud based solutions particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Storage Gateway.

AWS certified is highly desirable and preferred (AWS Solutions Architect Associate).

2-3 years of intensive experience with RHEL and Unix administration.

2-3 years experience with virtualization (VMware).

2-3 years of shell scripting experience.

Intermediate level knowledge and experience on Oracle and MariaDB.

Working knowledge of CI / CD tools such as Jenkins and Github.

2-3 years experience on various monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Graphite.

Experience with Python highly desirable but not essential.

Experience with automation highly desirable.
