Your contribution at AIG

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and / or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset.

Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

  • Lead and motivate the Philippine claims and GIA team to achieve company's goals and objectives
  • Oversea the Philippine claims & GIA operation to achieve customer satisfaction, cost containment and compliance with relevant policy requirements
  • Responsible for the overall claims functions for all lines of business
  • Develop and implement guideline and standards in the overall sound management of claims to ensure the validity
  • Work closely with key Philippine claims and Guam Insurance Adjusters (GIA) staff to ensure smooth operation of the Claims Department and GIA.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

  • Work closely with Profit Centres, Service Centres and Regional Claims Office to meet company's objectives and business strategies
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting processes are in place
  • Continually strive to improve operational efficiencies for claims handling. May work with technology department to attain the operational efficiencies.
  • Promote staff development to support and ensure proper identification of key talent, create development plans for staff advancement, create and maintain succession plans for key positions in Claims and GIA
  • Management of business partners and service providers
  • Complaint handling and management
  • Anticipate risk areas relating to people and customer issues and implement plans to manage the change process
  • What we are looking for

  • University graduate with minimum 10 years claims related experience or an insurance practitioner with good track records in the market place.
  • Good technical knowledge in a Claims environment, preferably on commercial lines and multinational business; Philippine specific required
  • Good insurance product knowledge with focus dominant to commercial lines and multinational business
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills in both English and Filipino
  • Excellent claims negotiation, mediation and problem solving skills
  • Good presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work across Department
  • A person of position in the Philippines with market impact, good relationship with Brokers and multi-national accounts
  • A change manager / leader with strong customer EQ and focus
  • Proven record required providing direction, motivating and growing employees to drive high levels of performance.
