Thepurpose of the FSQR Supervisor position is to provide high level technical expertise in the person’s field ofresponsibility.
Thisposition is a recognized expert in their field and typically leads efforts insuch fields as : food safety, a specific product line such as poultry dressing,marinated chicken, or a technical area such as microbiology, instrumentation.
Therole will have broad impact across multiple facilities, product lines orbusiness units (BU).
Theposition must be knowledgeable of available resources within and outside ofCargill and be able to work independently with minimal direction.
Theposition must be able to handle projects that may involve new products orprocess that require development of systems, programs, testing, specificationsor implementation of new regulations.
This position must be able to effectively collaborate and influencemanagers, Research and Development (R&D), customers or supplier / externalmanufacturers.
Ensure compliance to Cargill Food Safety andQuality Regulatory policies and procedures.
Assist the FSQR Operations Manager in thedevelopment and implementation of new food and feed safety, animal welfare, andquality plant policies and procedures across the BU, food safety and qualityaudit, proficiency and competency testing, instrumentation, specific productline knowledge, computer system (data management).
Analyze, develop and implement systemimprovements / best practice initiatives in the Production Operations.
High level of collaboration with peers and technical contacts across theorganization.
In-depth supervision of Quality assurancesystems (GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSMS, SSOPs, quality system, instrumentation,computer system, etc.)
Providing support for operations and otherfunctional areas, where needed.
Customer / supplier / co-manufacturer interaction,presentations, response to audits and issues, enterprise and local Implementationof best practice initiatives.
Supervise and implement enterprise projects in their area ofexpertise / and or interface with other concerned units to relay compliance customersand suppliers.
Assist with customer and internal food and feedsafety education and understanding.
Work with Operations team to ensure Cargillrequirements and product specifications are in compliance.
Train and develop operations team to drive consistentquality in the line.
Drive continuous improvement in the areas of QA in-line process. ·Any other duties as assigned. (negotiation ofraw material or instrument purchases, leadership of functional or PDG teams,resolution of significant customer complaints, issues, and problems).
Workswith industry organizations to set strategic direction, solve problems and deployprograms.
Bachelor’sdegree in a science field.
5+years of experience as a Specialist or Supervisor in quality and food safetysystem.
Demonstratedtechnical and leadership skills.
Demonstratedproject supervision skills.
Abilityto work independently.

Abilityto supervise multiple priorities.

Workingknowledge of quality systems supervision (like TQM or Six Sigma)
Strongcomputer skills : Microsoft Office Software (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint,Excel).
Degreein food science or microbiology
Demonstratedability to manage complex problems or system development.
Demonstratedleadership and process control management skills and an ability to develop teammembers
Understandingof statistical process control programs
Experiencedealing with customers or suppliers.
Knowledge of multipleareas of quality and food safety
