A Research Data Analyst position is immediately available in Dr. Gerd Brunner’s laboratory to work on clinical research studies at the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute, Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.

Highly motivated individuals with outstanding experience in clinical research, and a strong interest in imaging modalities are invited to apply.

The successful applicant will take a central role in the analyses of clinical research data and in helping with the implementation of ongoing studies, as well as the development of future research studies in cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Dr. Brunner’s laboratory employs multi-modality imaging, image analysis, and machine learning techniques to identify individuals with an increased risk of atherothrombotic cardiovascular events.

The successful candidate will work on research studies in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team including clinicians and scientists.

Knowledge of vascular resistance, and microvascular and macrovascular blood flow in CVD is of high value for this position.

Previous experience with human subjects research is required for this position. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and a willingness to learn about multi-disciplinary aspects of ongoing research are necessary for this position.

To succeed in this position the applicant needs to be goal-oriented, self-sufficient, and able to work independently and in groups in a fast-paced research environment.

Familiarity with policies and procedures of human subjects’ research is needed and competitive applicants will have published at least three first-author articles in peer-reviewed journals relevant to this position.
