Duty 1 : Project Support

Project Planning

  • Create / Review Technical Requirement Specifications and Functional Requirement Specifications, and identify man-hours needed, dependencies or conflicts with existing business systems before or during the early stages of the project
  • Creates an overall plan for the project schedule.
  • Plans accordingly relative to time resources to meet project commitments by breaking down project objectives into modules or deliverables and cascades them to the team.
  • Secures commitment on critical deliverables from different stakeholders such as factory, Engineering and Marketing
  • Regularly liaise with stakeholders to discuss strategic objectives, course correct options and general directions of the project
  • Manages projects or new brands of product series being requested to be loaded into the business system
  • Manages third party resources and other project team members in the execution of project plans, and submission of deliverables Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Specialists, Key Product Family Contacts, Project Stakeholders
  • Clarifies, evaluates, and recommends scope, timeline and report structure
  • Review and analyzes product requirement / change request and seek clarification as needed and determine the impact to the project
  • Reduces complexity by breaking down large modules to smaller deliverables ready to be assigned to appropriate team member
  • Work with project owners to define project requirements
  • Project Execution

  • Continuously track the project’s progress and ensure milestones.
  • Creates and approves coding standards and design guidelines or any development related improvement
  • Writes code based on specifications defined and follows a set coding standard, code sharing and design guidelines of the team
  • Troubleshoots and optimizes code outputs and resolves code conflicts.
  • Document all change requests, scope creeps and, log issues or defects
  • Participates in cross-functional testing and peer reviews
  • Project Testing and Deployment

  • Sets up UAT environment (informing participants, scheduling, gathering results)
  • Creates test cases, finalizes and / or approves to be used during UAT
  • Create and distribute training manuals to test team.
  • Identifies, analyzes and mitigates UAT and Go-Live test results issues
  • Implements the necessary fix or improvement based on the UAT results
  • Secures commitment on critical deliverables from different stakeholders such as marketing, sales, product management training to align with Go-Live plans and secure official sign-off to deploy system in production environment.
  • Implementation

  • Publish / deploy project to production.
  • Provide and prepare monitoring activities during stabilization period.
  • Develop training plan and training materials / manuals for support team and system users.
  • Manages issues and requests submitted to the team
  • Duty 2 : System Support and Maintenance

  • Implements basic change request (document updates, library creation, banner update, meta-tagging, simple typography, price updates)
  • Performs testing of published content
  • Recommends improvement on change request and processes
  • Encodes new features or changes related to the system upgrade
  • Monitors errors and data inconsistencies through the quality monitoring report
  • Maintain and upgrade existing system functionality and capacity as needed based on identified issues and improvements
  • Propose and implement preventive action to avoid issue recurrence.
  • Duty 3 : Product Configuration

  • Technical lead responsible for setting product configuration project priorities, including project schedules and task assignment for resources in order to meet strict order completion deadlines.
  • Translates Engineering design requirements to conform with database logic standard through writing FF2.0 configuration rules
  • Creates and defines the product and product services specific rules (configuration rules) which will be used to implement the product into the system for application
  • Creates attribute relationship like EM Module Rules, EM Base Rules, Base Price Rules and Adder Price Rules
  • Responsible for the maintenance of product data from : FS, FS Option numbers, Product / Special Service, FisherFirst product model including developing configuration rules and relationships to pricing, sizing and drawing information.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes flow data tables provided by flow lab.
  • Handles manual testing to be sure that the data source and master assembly are developed correctly and working properly before the product goes to production
  • Creates and runs SQL queries to test and validate data accuracy with historical numbers.
  • Reviews and aligns system interfaces and legacy systems logic to ensure the product is compliant with all requirements
  • Support Manufacturing, Pricing, and Product Management on resolution of red lights or manufacturing issues caused by the configurator
  • Provide training and support for Product Configuration to other members of Order Entry Team
  • Serve as the primary resource for Sales, Product Managers, Order Detailers and others for technical guidance.
  • Assign task / s ownership of junior product configurator
  • Create and maintain product models
  • Duty 4 : Vendor Support and POC Management

  • Anticipates and foresees the requirements of customers based on previous data and precedents
  • Properly sets customer expectations and proactively manages, plans and organizes project / account scope towards overall business plans and strategic goals
  • Ensures efficient communication with stakeholders by delivering factual data, reports and information on time thereby maintaining accurate perception on the capability and performance of the team in Manila
  • Meets with team members regularly to determine the needs of vendors and developers offshore. Provides feedback and coaching, to ensure the success of the projects.
  • Monitors effectiveness of the project teams
  • Identifies the need of its team in order to support team goals and objectives training needs and resources i.e., software / hardware equipment
  • Determines vendor capabilities
  • Duty 5 : Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas
  • Participates in handling a Continuous Improvement Project using a problem-solving methodology
  • Works with the business to ensure change requests are clearly defined and assessed in relation to the business system supported
  • Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs
  • Stays current with customer needs and strategies; utilizes formal and informal communication methods to communicate updates and findings
  • Maintains a deep awareness of how a business operation works and helping the stakeholders explore technology possibilities to more effectively run their operations
  • Duty 6 : Training and Development

  • Authors content of training material for new or updated functionality introduced in the system
  • Conducts training for new or existing configurator functionality, and / or for new process automation tools
  • New Employee Onboarding
  • Changes introduced in the system
  • New / Enhanced Support Tools
  • Requirements :

    Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or any related)

    Job Related Experience : At least 10 years cumulative experience in pricing / quotation Generation and order detailing for regulator products inclusive of at least 5 years of experience in Product Configuration

    Specific Knowledge :

  • Extensive knowledge of business and continuous improvement processes, and strategy implementation
  • High competence in usage of MS Outlook and MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated systems and process knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of product configuration tools such as FF2.0, Oracle configurator, Configit
  • Ability to analyze large data systems (OPS, FF2, EM, etc.) and ensure FisherFirst provides accurate product presentation for ordering
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of the basic physical properties of materials
  • Advanced product knowledge and inter-product rules relationship.
  • Ability to interpret & identify missing engineering detail structure and drawings
  • Regulator products and service range
  • Oil & gas industry codes and standards
  • Strong understanding of regulator product pricing model
