ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : In charge of particular business domain and all applications associated with it. Maintains expertise on assigned function to be able to provide sound recommendations on the current business needs or automation opportunities.
Elicits and clearly documents business and system requirements of simple to complex system projects. Leads the analysis of business requirements, facilitates designs sessions with team to define the solution and recommends the appropriate IT solution.
Assesses business process and system inefficiencies and offer advice on possible business process and system improvements.
Leads the preparation of functional specifications and ensures that system requirements are aligned with user expectations.
Collaborates closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during System / Integration Testing and / or User Acceptance Testing.
Reviews and signs-off the System Test Strategy and System Test Cases to ensure completeness and correctness. Prepares and Executes the User Acceptance Test Strategy.
Provides support to the users / testers during user acceptance testing. Prepares and documents manual and system procedures in support of the business needs.
Creates and maintains issue logs, meeting minutes, project schedules, and project updates. Provides post-implementation and production support for supported systems including analysis of production problems raised by business users.
Conducts functional training for the business community and technical team as needed. Maintains and sustains technical and business expertise on assigned business domains and its associated and related technologies.
Ensures that applied technologies are kept up to date with industry trends. Facilitates change request by working with various business areas to address issues and potential impact and / or benefits of the changes in the proposed system.
Identifies possible improvements in the business processes to reduce manual work and overhead, as well as to improve overall turnaround time of business processes.
Assists users in the preparation of business cases. Ensures collaborative partnership between IT and AIA group business units / affiliates.
Makes sure that both parties work harmoniously together to achieve desired project outcomes. Acts as coach and mentor to junior business analysts, providing advice and guidance to support their day-to-day performance of their job.
Monitors and tracks all phases of the project. Communicates with project team / stakeholders on the status of system projects and related issues on a regular basis and prepares progress reports within agreed timeframes.
Plans the activities, timetable, deliverables, and resources for small to medium systems projects and leads the team to complete the assigned tasks following agreed schedule and budget.

Reviews plans and progress of different work groups to ensure work is coordinated and continues to meet overall project objectives.
Performs other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time. Ensures awareness and compliance to IT Governance (QA, Compliance, Systems Architecture, and Information Security) Ensures project and other IT-related issues are raised on a timely basis and resolved at the appropriate levels.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS : Degree : College / University Degree Fields of Study : Preferably Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Industry : N / A Years of Experience : Minimum of 3 years as Business Systems Analyst Technical Skills : Understands technologies as they are used in the organization.
