POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Support Engineer / Executive provides technical and commercial support to the company’s customer base and coordinate with partners to ensure and improve service levels.

In, addition the role would be required to generate quotations on behalf of the Sales Team, ensuring quotations are generated accurately and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations through SAP ERP, technical data sheets of cables and closing of quotations (SAP System)
  • Actively monitor and report on pricing of competitors in the market and compare to company pricing, including technical specifications of the company offer relative to competitor offer
  • Actively monitor and report to management on pricing trends on raw materials and foreign exchange rate that are relevant for pricing strategy
  • Communicates with the Regional Office / Supplier for stock availability, price and delivery lead time
  • Prepares the product data sheets and technical data sheets of special cables
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide commercial and technical support on quotations
  • Represent the company to communicate with regional group and factory for stock availability, price and delivery lead time for all enquiries
  • Coordinate with Customer Service team for the purchase orders
  • Any other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor
  • JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification from engineering preferably in the areas of automation, controls, instruments, or communication
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience preferably in the fields of process automation, factory automation, robotics, instrumentation, & control
  • Previous / knowledge with doing technical quotation / pricing is an advantage
  • Ability to do a take-off of materials or components related to automation, instrumentations, and controls and can work independently, responsible, and a team player
  • Good communication skills both interpersonal, formal & informal presentations, or giving remote advice over the phone or email
  • Computer literate, proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge in using SAP-ERP and C4C tools is an advantage.
