We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will work with product owners, project managers, business analysts and end users to understand requirements and develop new solutions or enhance existing solutions.
Will be involved in end to end unit testing from creation of test functionality to resolution. Identify and escalate risks that may impact the application or project, expected to provide technical guidance and coaching to team members involve in the projects you are handling.
Business Responsibilities :
Work with product owners, project managers, business analysts and end users to understand requirements and develop new solutions or enhance existing solutions
Understand the relevant application architecture, application functionality and SDLC processes unique to Macquarie
Design, develop and unit test functionality, and assist with UAT and PVT, and defect tracking, recoding, triage, follow-up and resolution
Provide accurate reporting of test progress, risk and issues, and contribute to continuous improvement in terms of efficiency, reducing risk and automation
Identify and escalate risks that may impact the application or project
Provide thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members around development standards, practices and processes
Produce and maintain technical and business support documents, as well as knowledge sharing / training
Develop enhancements and optimisations for improving system performance
Conduct triage, diagnose and debug issues to make sure that the system is functioning as expected
Provide escalation support on shift and on-call basis for resolution on identity management application issues
Be adaptable, resourceful and able to understand when it’s better to go for the quick win and when it’s better to drive through a comprehensive technical solution
Be self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed and provide excellent customer service
Key Skill Requirement :
A degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
With at least 5 years of experience in Core Java
Experience in relational database systems and basic SQL
Experience in basic UNIX scripting
Good communication skills and ability to work with a geographically distributed team
Ability to analyse functional requirements and translate into solution designs
Experience in operations and production support
Proven ability to communicate problems and solutions effectively with both business and technical colleagues (written and verbal)
Amenable to perform application support and after hours work when required
