Position Description

The Communications Business partner for the Philippines has the objective of supporting the business in their requirements related to Communications.

  • This individual is expected to support execution of the Business Plan through communications by establishing programs to attract, engage and retain members;
  • and to help increase alignment in telling the overall CGI story. He / she is expected to proactively partner with leaders and teams to support the overall business goals and help drive forward the understanding and adoption of initiatives defined on a global, regional and local level.

    Locally, he / she is responsible for distilling discussions into drafts with key messages, developing and executing a communications plan for each of the programs to support CGI’s strategy.

    The Business partner is a strategic role that involves partnering with different teams while planning and organizing time and resources so that impactful and relevant communications are delivered.

    Your future duties and responsibilities

    Business Partner Responsibilities

    The Business partner is responsible for :

  • Developing a communications strategy in support of the BU strategic goals and in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Creating internal and external communications plans that reinforce common messages and themes (e.g. innovation) in the BU
  • Evolving the communications plans during any shift or change in the priorities throughout the year
  • Ensuring messaging across internal communications to help tell a single CGI story
  • Drafting materials, preparing presentations and creating communications for identified audiences
  • Supporting leaders in engaging with members
  • Exploring new channels and ways of communicating to support evolving digital communications practices
  • Executing global marketing and communications campaigns
  • Managing the Annual Tour and the quarterly All Hands
  • Other responsibilities

  • Presenting Communications Plans and how it is tracking to achieve alignment across all running projects and achieve a view of the entire SBU’s Communications activities.
  • Ensure that quality for output is strictly upheld by ensuring quality and execution to the CGI Brand
  • Adhering to processes set within CGI and the local team
  • Maintain an updated issues and escalations log to ensure problems are documented and solved
  • Management responsibilities

    The Communications Business partner is also responsible for :

  • Coaching next level team members for readiness in succession planning
  • Providing input to budgets for activities
  • Provide feedback on the performance of members
  • OSAP scores
  • Updated running communications plans and on time execution of communications plan
  • Adherence with the basics, such as completing training, timesheets and ad hoc deadlines as requested for by CGI as a whole
  • Quality and Compliance

  • The Communications Business Partner for Corporate Functions is responsible for ensuring adherence for processes and procedures put in place for the team and the Management Foundation are adhered to.
  • Any working procedures updated should be in line with the document management policy
  • Actions arising from internal audits should be dealt with in a timely manner to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Ensure that CGI policies on Data Protection must be strictly complied with
  • Security Responsibilities

    As a member of CGI, the member shall be responsible for the security of the information and shall ensure that appropriate measures are taken to preserve its confidentiality, integrity and availability for use.

    The following are basic security obligations :

  • Be aware of one’s obligation under legislation governing data protection, computer misuse, copyright protection,
  • intellectual property, the retention of public records and the common law;
  • Act with propriety in the use of the business units’ Information resources;
  • Familiarize with and conform to the Information Security policy and related Standards, Guidelines, etc;
  • Report immediately to one’s Line Manager and Information Security Officer, any breaches, or suspected breaches, of the CGI Information Security policy.
  • Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 6 years above of experience working in communications disciplines, preferably in an IT or professional services company
  • Demonstrates understanding of services and CGI’s business
  • Proven leadership in independently designing and executing multi-channel communications campaigns
  • Team player who understands integrated communications planning, message development, marketing and sales collateral, events management, advertising, and internal communications activities and understands how to create plans and creative briefs
  • Excellent command of English
  • Professional maturity and executive presence the ability to achieve and maintain excellent relationships with the executive team
  • Intellect and flexibility to work in a highly-dynamic, demanding environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
  • Self-starter who has project management skills
  • Degree educated in related field (marketing, communications, etc.)
  • Flexibility to work additional hours in line with business needs and / or critical deadlines
  • Flexibility to travel, as needed
