AWS Sales Operations is seeking an Operations Manager for a Shared Services Center to manage multiple aspects of Worldwide Commercial Field Operations activities.
In this role, the Shared Services Operations Manager will work with the APAC, EMEA, US, Japan and WW teams to continuously evolve analysis models, analyze historic results, engage in territory and account planning and go to market activities, and manage a team of Operations Analysts all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity.
This will include working with the GEO and WW Sales Operations leadership to develop, implement and manage the Business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize Business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
The Shared Services Operations Manager will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to the sales and operations organization.
This position also participates in the administration and execution of the organizations go to market activities, including tracking and reporting of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various process improvements to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results.
The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his / her sleeves, and work directly with the models / data. He / she will be passionate about their work, detail-
oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He / she will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.
He / she will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal parties.
Crucial for this role will be extensive experience building and managing teams and projects with demonstrated success driving effective execution of responsibilities.
He / she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent program-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Management of a team of Operations Analysts in the local office providing operational, analytical and administrative support to a WW organization.
Participate in initiatives across the WW Operations group and be an active participant on this team.
Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions across the Commercial business.
Working with the operations management, contribute to the annual Goals setting, budget management and ongoing forecasting processes.
Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to AWS sales operations management regarding business initiatives, customer segment performance, performance against goals, etc.
Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making, and minimize overall report burden.
Create WW financial and operational templates and processes to compile and standardize disparate information that drive standardized reporting and metrics tracking
Develop a deep understanding of AWS sales metrics, reporting tools, and data structure in order to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify and develop new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or new tools
Maintain and develop financial tools or reports that align, and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes
Generate ad hoc and monthly recurring financial and operational performance analysis, based on the needs of the stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
Extensive experience in a leadership role in Finance, Operations, Support, Business Development, or other related fields
Expert level in Excel and Data query tools
Strong business-process design experience
Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-
driven analyses and administrative process, and influencing results
Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems / tool utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, process automation, etc.
Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial
Experience building and managing new organizations focused on provided a shared services capability
Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented, requiring limited supervision
MBA or other relevant advanced degree
