The Risk and Analytics Corporate Practice includes over 100 actuarial professionals focused on large market, clients. Our primary services include reserving and funding for retained losses, captive feasibility, retention optimization, and cost allocation models.
We also offer actuarial analysis of loyalty programs for hospitality, airlines and financial institutions and continue to develop predictive analytics for our clients.
In this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership to a team of administrative professionals who directly support the activities of client facing consultants in the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
By managing and developing the support team, you will directly contribute to the success of the business. The business support team leader will also provide top level support to practice leadership as they execute on strategy and make decisions that shape the future direction of the practice / business.
This role can be based in the US or Canada (Eastern or Central Time Zone).

The Role
Admin / Business Support Team Management
Provide leadership and manage a team of administrative / business support professionals
Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure team members have opportunities to grow and develop
Proactively seek opportunities to improve administrative processes and performance and facilitate successful implementation
Adapt administrative support models to meet evolving business needs
Coordinate workflow across administrative team to prioritize business needs and maximize time efficiency; advise of conflicts and offer solutions
Coordinate back-up administrative support to ensure business needs are met at all times
Facilitate and support skills-based training for administrative team, lunch and learn sessions, encourage sharing of knowledge
Coordinate and prepare for various meetings / events for administrative team
Engage with other Business Support Team Leaders to collaborate and ensure consistency with other LOBs / regions / practices as needed
Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews for direct reports, including conducting performance assessments, gathering feedback and maintaining appropriate documentation
Foster team aspect of administrative / business support team; work closely with Admin Community Group Leaders
Encourage and promote the integration of differences in perspectives, abilities, cultures, etc. into work activities
Operational and Business Support
Partner with WTW colleagues with different levels of seniority in geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams;
demonstrate resourcefulness and innovative approaches to problem solving, prioritizing and multi-tasking
Handle highly confidential information in the most ethical / confidential manner
Support practice / business with internal business procedures, including interaction with, finance, technology and human resource support staff and generation of various operational reports
Oversee coordination of in-person and virtual practice / LOB events and leadership meetings
Provide project management support to facilitate progress on various initiatives
Adhere to Willis Towers Watson quality assurance process and documentation
The Requirements
Executive assistant and / or administrative professional experience (7+ years)
Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and develop others
Successful administrative / business support and / or consulting experience
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a collaborative way
Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
Ability to learn internal business processes and software
Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, including excellent proofreading and grammar skills
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced, continuous improvement environment
Strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating several projects at one time
Ability to take full ownership of assigned work and produce consistently high-quality results under tight deadlines
Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
