About the Role :
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest & background in Applications Support and with the ability to learn quickly other vendor applications from the inside out.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide support for ESB, BPM and Qlik Sense applications within one of our Divisions that has operations in Europe and Asia regions to ensure support coverage in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
This position will primarily work with the Technology Group and the relevant Business units. The Application Support Analyst will be dealing with complex issues, solving them or escalating to other members of the technical group or Third Party Vendors.
Job Duties in Brief :
Administer and resolve support requests coming from application users through Service Desk Ticketing System
Run ad-hoc database queries to analyse data, monitor application usage and verify data integrity
Act as the key liaison between the business application users and application developers / vendors
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of business rules and documentation of business processes as they pertain to the business applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, legal compliance, and data integrity
Assist business users with resolution of technical issues pertaining to the use of Tibco BPM Workflows and Qlik Sense Reports
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the technologies supporting business applications
Participate in discussions whenever upgrades or new functionality is introduced to the applications
Help troubleshoot performance issues by liaising with the development team or other technical teams
About You :
Background / Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in technology or equivalent work experience
Mature, proactive person who is very interested in Applications Support
Ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment, learn new technologies and support them
Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English
Previous Work Experience :
Minimum three years’ experience providing application support, managing incidents (working in a helpdesk or similar environment) preferably in the Financial Sector required OR
Experience troubleshooting applications written in Java / Eclipse required
Experience troubleshooting MS SQL and Oracle databases required
Minimum three years Data Management experience, developing SQL queries, extracting, manipulating, and migrating data between applications
Experience working on the technical side, interacting with infrastructure, DBA, process, development, configuration and testing teams, preferably with Microsoft Technologies
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
Experience with the following applications / tools desirable : Tibco AMX BPM, TIBCO Business Works, Qlik Sense, SharePoint, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Dot Net
Must be able to work in high-pressure environment, either independently or as part of a team
Able to set priorities, to be flexible with a high degree of accuracy
Flexibility in work schedule according to project and business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
