This role will provide overall leadership on PH IT's Performance Management and Engineering (PM&E) initiatives, including the institutionalization of the formal PM&E Process and follow through of the on-going Performance-related initiatives.

This role will help improve on the performance of our Digital Tools from the touchpoints down to the backend components.

Performance Foresight

  • Flag down potential performance issues at the start of the development stage
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to ensure smooth system performance in the development stage
  • Ensure non-functional requirements for performance (CPU usage, latency)
  • Performance Testing and Validation Expertise

  • Design effective tests to check system performance and stability
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Testing Centre of Excellence in defining and executing tests to validate Load, Scalability, Stability, and Reliability standards
  • Analyze test results and provide appropriate solutions
  • Recommends tools and / or leverage on existing tools to allow for an effective Performance monitoring and insighting
  • Performance Lifecycle Management

  • Find root cause of performance issues and suggest solutions to Solutions and Project Teams
  • Oversee system performance lifecycle
  • Create performance reports for review
  • Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)

    College / University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Management

    8 to 12 years in Information Technology; At least 2 years working on leading Performance Management and Engineering functions

    Able to learn application and infrastructure design quickly and apply Performance Management and Engineering concepts and techniques effectively and efficiently

    Must have a working experience in all phases of system development (e.g. programming, analysis and design)

    Able to work with different teams with varying levels of technical know-how, and be able to influence and challenge views.

  • Creates and designs the PM&E Process for PH IT, in alignment with Enterprise Services (including Asia Service Centres), to ensure there is focus on Performance from the time of system inception until its maintenance lifecycle
  • Collaborates with Architects, Designers, Test Leads, and Infrastructure Leads in reviewing systems specifications, to ensure that requirements tackling Performance are properly considered and implemented.
  • Ensures that projects adhere to the Performance Requirements prior movement to production, and provides sign-off. Any deviations are escalated and endorsed for risk acceptance.
  • Monitors and follows through on any actions identified to ensure good and / or improved performance
