Summary

The main goal of this position is to improve the company’s overall market position by increasing sales opportunities and maximizing the organization’s revenue to ultimately achieve financial growth.

The role is responsible for defining long-term organizational strategic goals, finding potential new customers and build key relationships to convert them into clients, identify business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

The role will influence the direction and success of the business while overseeing the digital marketing strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Build a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions / services that the business provides, and gather intelligence on the company’s competitors
  • Lead new business development efforts and manage the development of strategic proposals; Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients
  • Develop rapport with new clients, set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients
  • Work with mid and senior level management and technical staff to manage their activities and be responsible for developing business for the company
  • Use strategic planning to develop the pipeline for new business to come into the company
  • Build strategies, relationship management, staff capacity, training, and client diversification
  • Identify and coordinate team initiatives as well as support company-wide initiatives
  • Conduct goal setting, coaching, and performance reviews and evaluations for assigned staff
  • KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    Direct Marketing and Business Development

  • Devising marketing solutions to meet business objectives
  • Development of an annual strategic marketing program
  • Management of the overall marketing budget
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn these into increased business and act as the primary liaison and point of contact for identified prospects
  • Set-up / Meet with potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging current network
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization and convert them into actual leads;
  • Research and build relationships with new clients

  • Plan approaches and pitches; Work closely with Managing Director to develop proposals that speaks to the clients’ needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Continuously look for opportunities to expand the business
  • Work with technical staff and other internal stakeholders to meet client needs
  • Stay current on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Management, Research, and Proposal Creation

  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team; Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose to continuously enhance the company’s performance and services
  • Lead new business development from capture planning and bid tracking to proposal development, submission and follow-up;
  • manage proposal development process (proposal writing) in response to requests, including management of calendar and deadlines

  • Manage templates for proposals, outlines, compliance, and client tracking
  • Work closely with the Recruitment team to get necessary information for proposals (intent to hire, teaming agreements, and budgets)
  • Verify quality assurance and compliance check with regard to client requirements, ensuring that all request information and pieces of the proposal are included
  • Manage proposal closeout process and keep BD resources and files / folders updated
  • Manage knowledge management process and components for the company, as assigned
  • Support the Managing Director in determining strategic direction and identify priority opportunities and countries for the business
  • Spearhead intelligence gathering
  • Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a leadership role with at least 5 years’ of doing Business Development in the BPO / Offshoring industry
  • Previous experience in a similar digital marketing and business development role required
  • Business Development experience / Industry knowledge in accounting, financial services and consulting, legal process outsourcing, and digital marketing preferred
  • Solid track record in developing business relationships with C-level executives (CEOs, CFOs, Board of directors, etc.) an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience prospecting, closing, and building long-term relationships
  • Has a proven track record in increasing company revenue through generation of leads and developing new businesses
  • Familiarity with strategic planning, capacity building, training, human and institutional capacity development
  • Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with marketing and other creative teams
  • Good operational and process orientation. Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (Excellent public speaking ability)
  • Proven experience and passion in all things digital
  • Sound understanding of lead nurturing and working with sales professionals in identifying strategies to nurture and convert new leads and manage relationships with existing clients
  • Research experience with strong attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation skills; Adept at extemporaneous presentations
  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Is a self-starter, team player, results oriented, motivated
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, and desktop publishing applications as well as CRM tools; with the ability to use new technologies to accelerate goals
