Your contribution at AIG

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and / or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset.

Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

This person will act the as APAC IT Development Team's Application Packaging SME and analyst. He / she will :

  • Package and test applications and updates as required by the business; troubleshoot package installation errors on end clients (Windows Workstations and Servers);
  • Produce packages and other support tasks as instructed by the Deployment Manager
  • Engineer application packaging solutions including policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness in application delivery
  • Write, update, and / or edit detailed package documentation for any new or modified packages
  • Resolve packaging problems as they come up
  • Provide general support, as needed, to application owners
  • Work with the Development Team team to support unit testing for each package
  • Provide training to other team members relative to Application Packaging (train-the-trainor approach)
  • Participate in project assessment, software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing, user acceptance and communication, and remediation activities associated with large scale software deployments
  • Write technical documentation in the form of test plans, installation plans and incident reviews
  • Interface with other release team members to ensure all technical aspects for deployments have been accounted for
  • What we are looking for

  • At least 7+ years of total software engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing and deployment of packages.
  • At least 3 years' experience of application packaging / virtualization in a Microsoft environment (AppV)
  • Detailed understanding of application packaging methods and tools (SSCM, AppV, VMWare, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SCCM with the ability to stage and deploy packages.
  • Custom scripting for deployments and custom actions (VB Scripts, PowerShell, and MS-DOS Batch file, etc.)
  • Implementing and managing packaging standards to ensure a consistent delivered approach
  • Production of documentation to support the packaging process;
  • With MSI packaging and Virtual Packaging / Sequencing experience
  • Knowledge of management and deployment tools like Citrix, Flexera, 1E, SCCM, Tanium and Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (7, 10, 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016)
