Description

Takes responsibilityfor a safe production and to meet customer requirements and quality goals (EHSand FSQR). Supervises and develops a team of operators and a process engineer.

Fully supports the Cargill safety strategy and deploys safety relatedinitiatives. Ensures a reliable process / production.

Manages the dailyproduction process in a safe, cost-effective and time efficient way. He / shefosters an environment conducive to change and innovation (operation excellenceand Accelerated Continuous Improvement).

Aligns with Cargill CopraPhilippines Commercial and Supply Chain team to deliver On Time In Full (OTIF)to customers. He will also be an integral part of COPIA Project team.

Environmental,Health and Safety and Process Safety Management

  • Leads the implementationof Cargill environment, and health and safety (EHS) and Process SafetyManagement (PSM) procedures in refinery operations.
  • Managesrisk / loss potential to personnel, equipment and plant operations andparticipates in safety and environmental audits.
  • Participatesin waste minimizations program.
  • Signs workpermits.
  • Support andreview accident or near miss investigations.
  • Ensure allof risk follow up action plan will be closed on time.
  • Ensure department is following legal, local and corporate guidelines
  • Conducts regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
  • Productivityand ACI

  • Focuses onrefinery productivity improvement program.
  • Lead all ACIinitiatives within refinery operations.
  • Championsand participate in monthly refinery and packing regional productivity callmeeting.
  • Leads therefinery team to improve refinery productivity, sets priorities and monitorsannual plan to align with business directions.
  • Deploys theright resources to help production team to improve plant operations performanceincluding cost management.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Degree inEngineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Minimum 8years of experience in refinery plant as lead.
  • 3+ yearssupervisory experience in manufacturing operations
  • 2+ years supervisoryexperience in a highly automated plant operation
  • 4+ yearsexperience in manufacturing operations
  • Strong leadershipskills
  • Strong EHSorientation
  • Generalknowledge in food production & HACCP
  • Good problem-solvingskills
  • Demonstratesuse of relevant standard PC software programs and knowledgeable on PLC programsand basic Instrumentation
  • Projectmanagement : skills to lead projects directly linked with process / productionimprovement or new policies implementation
  • Works withown group as well as people from other departments / locations, invitesinvolvement from others, manages conflict, and shares best practices andinformation
  • Respectsothers and develops teamwork, values differences which garner new perspectives,honors commitments and demonstrates integrity and honesty
  • Demonstratespositive two-way communications, promotes employee engagement and develop goodwork ambiance
  • PreferredQualifications

  • 3+ years supervisoryexperience in manufacturing operations preferably in food manufacturing
  • Goodknowledge in mechanical and process operation, ISO and other certifications,laboratory practices, GMP, country and local regulations
  • Goodcommunication and presentation skills
  • Promotesinnovation, demonstrates courage and adaptability, makes process improvement,stimulates and manages knowledge sharing
  • Good capabilitiesto set priorities and determining what is necessary to get things done andimplementing the action, knows how to organize people and activities,coordinates with other departments
  • Sets clearand challenging individual expectations for subordinates, takes responsibilityfor personal actions, manages and coaches for results and assists others withdevelopment
  • Limited to the 20-month execution phaseof Project Copia refinery :

  • Previousexperience in the construction of a agrifood processing industrial project.
  • Ability toperform tasks that require climbing from heights in varying climate andenvironment conditions
  • Collaboratewith construction contractors effectively.
  • Basicworking knowledge of construction safety and safe intervention on sites.
  • Able tocoach future operators through mechanical completion and commission phase ofthe project.
