Are you the writer we need for writing our first series of children books? Our Dutch charity, called the Give a Chance Foundation, has the vision to help students in de Philippines by raising funds for 2 different projects.

We accept donations, but we believe it is better to run companies that generate profits and invest that in the future of our students.

The charity itself doesn’t have any employees, we work with volunteers, 100% of donations go to the projects we run. What is the book series about and how does it benefit Filipino students?

We plan to launch a book series for children aged 3-6 years. Every month the parents will receive a new book. Depending on the month the book has 28, 30 or 31 stories with illustrations made by our Filipino writers and illustrators.

Every story should be about 10 minutes and are read by the parents. The book series are sold in the Netherland as a year-subscription.

The storyline concept, and what we need you to write for us : Because I am not a writer at all and certainly not able to write for children, the concept I came up with is probably not good at all, but I gave it a try.

In order to become the writer of the book series, we need to be sure we are dealing with someone that can deliver great stories but also able to come up with amazing concepts.

I want you to read the concept and try to follow the main idea of it. If you have a much better idea feel free to send me that too.

But it should revolve around a brother and sister as main characters and the storyline should have to involve indigenous tribes.

First I wrote this concept for children aged 8-12 but because our readers / listeners are very young the concept needs some adjustments.

The story revolves around a brother and sister visiting indigenous tribes all around the world on a quest to save the world from natural disasters.

When they were 2 and 3 years old the father disappeared when a typhoon came to land and sucked him up in the air. Since that day they live together with their evil stepmother.

One night the brother and sister both have the same prophetic dream, Gaia talks to them and explains that there are many tribes around the world that holds the sacred knowledge of living in harmony with nature.

And that most of the people not living the right life and thus destroying the earth. To save the world from destruction they need to find 12 tribes to gain this knowledge and get 12 items and place 6 of them around the equator and 6 at the prime meridian.

When they wake up and tell each other about their dream they decide to go on a quest to save the world. They leave their house, and on their journeys across the world, the father sometimes visits them in their dreams and becomes their spirit guide.

The tribes have special knowledge and items (special stones, crystals or something related to elements) to live in balance with mother nature.

If humanity is living in harmony, mother nature will give us prosperity, good harvests, happiness and good luck. When we live out of balance with nature, not treat the environment and other beings (animals, plants etc.

the right way, than that will cause create natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, plagues and diseases. The kids will visit a different tribe per book and learn about the culture of the tribe and see how they live in harmony with nature.

They will have all kind of adventures. When they (the kids) understand some knowledge (philosophical concept) of the tribe they are with and help them out with some issues the tribe is facing, the elders will hand them the special item they need to save the world.

When they have collected the 60 items (5 years of books, 1 book a month) they have saved humanity from its own destruction.

Why is it important to keep the story about indigenous tribes? In the future we plan to build 4- and 5-star resorts, including research centers and schools for indigenous tribes all over the world.

With the aim to raise awareness and save their cultures by researching and archiving their languages, traditions and customs.

We invite anthropologist, linguists and other researchers to study the tribes. We want the new generation of the tribe members to get a good education, proper healthcare and provide them with enough income.

Therefore, the tribe will be equal partners in the resort without any investment from their side. They run the resort by themselves with our guidance and help.

Guests can learn all about the tribes and their struggles by visiting the local museum, visitors center and by talking to the members of the tribe.

The resort not only generates the income for the tribe to grow as a community, but the visiting guests will spread awareness when they return home.

We will ask for donations and offer investment opportunities in order to raise the funds for building a resort. Our mission is to open as much resorts as possible.

How much you will earn!We plan to sell 10.000 subscription, resulting in 120.000 books being sold.As a writer you will get 6 peso per book that equals 720.

Project 2 : Single moms writers’ program We all understand that being a single mom can be very hard, they have a full-time job taking care of their child and in order to provide a good future for them they need a second job to be able to pay for that future.

To help those women out we will start a new company offering professional writing services to companies and individuals all over the world.

The mothers should already work as a writer or have a strong desire to become one. What we offer is a big house, for 5 mothers and their children.

Every mother and child have their own room. We provide them with a nanny to take care of the children, clean the house and cook all the meals.

Also provide them with some allowance to go out with their kids in the weekend. That way they don’t need to worry about the financials at all.

The first 3 months consist mostly of training, getting certifications and find out what type of writer they want to become.

The second quarter the girls will start working for our clients, become more skilled and make a very good income. After 6 months the girls can choose to keep working for us or go their own way and become successful by themselves.

Every 6 months we will provide for and train another 5 single moms at the same location. Profits of the writing company will go to the Give a Chance Foundation in order to fund more projects and help more people.

We are looking for the best writers we could get for this children's book series. Someone who knows how to communicate with us to get the right characters and stories on paper.

Next to that you should LOVE what we, as a charitable organization, are doing.
