The IoT and Services Market Research Analyst, as part of the Market and Competitive Intelligence Team in Lexmark, will focus on gathering, reviewing, summarizing and analyzing research that informs Lexmark’s global marketing team, executives and other business groups.
The analyst is responsible for the following major activities within the Market and Competitive Intelligence Team :
Collection and organization of market and secondary research pertaining to IoT products and services
Distribution of information to appropriate Lexmark teams to provide a clear, up-to-date view of the market and to identify opportunities and / or threats.
Synthesis of key trends to enable clear, forward-looking decisions
MARKET RESEARCH :
Perform market research on IoT technology and services by gathering and consolidating 3rd party research articles on a daily basis and provide analysis, key takeaways, business implications to Lexmark, and make recommendations to various audiences
Publish and proactively share relevant research articles to executives and identified audiences through email, Sharepoint site, or presentation materials
Serve as a resource for internal customers, occasionally communicating with inquiry analysts from research houses and various web sources
Keep abreast of current and major IoT trends and responsible for thorough research and analysis, and the creation of data-driven presentations
Provide or present broad competitive and market analysis of main competitors’ offering, partnerships, strategies, financials, and / or business movements, etc.
Provide or present supplemental strategy package / report to Lexmark Executives, Global Marketing team, and Key-Decision Makers
Conduct research or case study about market trends, predictions, forecast and customer views
VENDOR MANAGEMENT :
Liaises with third party information providers to facilitate clarification / verification of information, requests for customized data sets, webinars / presentations, and other requirements
Manages user access of third-party subscriptions and reviews user list on a regular basis
PROJECT MANAGEMENT :
Project manages and coordinates with Marketing team for specific research studies that will be used during executive and board meetings
CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT :
Drives standardization and simplification of existing processes
Improves research processes and reports visualization using emerging tools and technologies
Basic qualifications for this position include :
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferably in Marketing, Finance, Business and Accounting so long as there is 2+ years of work experience in any of these fields : business analysis, market research, or product management
Ability to effectively communicate in standard business English
Experienced in and highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with Power BI dashboard an advantage
Capable of sophisticated web research
Adept at sorting and cataloguing information
Adept at drawing inferences from large amounts of data
Willing to work on 2nd shift
