Job Description

Key Accountabilities :

  • Design, build and deploy business intelligence solutions based on specifications
  • Enhance and improve implementation of business intelligence solutions
  • Application stability and maintenance processes
  • Specialty programming and scripting associated with QlikView, QlikSense, Microsoft Power BI and Tableau (or any other similar tool)
  • Evaluate and improve existing Business Intelligence dashboards
  • Administration of business intelligence solutions
  • Execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Undertake projects and ad-hoc requests as required
  • Help build center of excellence for Business Intelligence solutions implementations
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by Operations Management
  • Minimum Skills Requirement to Hire :

    The candidate :

  • Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, programming background preferred
  • Atleast 2 years experience with data visualization or business intelligence development
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Technical Skills :

  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
  • Experienced with BI technologies (e.g. Qlikview, QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • Knowledge of structured analysis and design techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Understanding of design and development tools, SDLC methodologies and techniques, preferred
  • Acute numerical and analytical skills. Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Soft skills :

  • Ability to allocate time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Planning and organization skills, including the ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of overall development effort
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and act professionally at all times
  • Minimum Skills Requirements to Go-live :

    Product Specific Knowledge

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of data model for business intelligence solutions
  • Ability to layout and design BI solutions
  • Understanding the basic use of business intelligence objects
  • Ability to identify which chart will provide the best visual representation of data to the viewer
  • Ability to resolve data structure issues
  • Ability to debug and fix identified issues
  • Ability to use common images, scripting text and graphics
  • Able to define the basic and advanced uses of the script editor, including calendar and date manipulations
  • Able to use transformative functions in the script
  • Able to understand the PDF report writer
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Set Analysis and other advanced level features as required
  • Ability to connect BI tools to different data sources
