Ring is a leader in developing security products, such as Doorbells, Spotlights and Cameras. Our Product Integrity team aims to develop reliable and robust products that delight our customers.
Ring is looking for a Product Integrity, Operations Head to ensure we deliver products that performs per product specifications, that are safe with high quality through time.
You will work closely with our cross-functional product development teams to develop and improve our Product Integrity business processes, and ensure manufacturing process steps meet our business and product requirements.
You will ensure that defined Product Integrity (PI), metrics are met, and required PI business process execution across the product life cycle.
You will partner with stakeholders internally and external partners to drive end to end Product Integrity levers across our Ring Product Development Process, (RPDP) milestones.
In this role, as a Product Integrity, Operations Head, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our products to ensure quality, reliability and safety requirements are met.
You will be responsible for the development and improvement of our PI processes. You will develop the Product Integrity management systems to proactively improve our products through the implementation of lessons learned and PI tools.
You will develop and execute continuous improvement plans to drive quality, reliability, safety and compliance at the source.
You will be responsible for understanding products’ technical requirements to assure that all CTQs (Critical-to-Quality / Integrity) characteristics of the products are identified and risks are mitigated using Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and manufacturing processes are error-proofed to eliminate risk at the source.
You will lead the implementation of Potential Failure Mode Effect Analysis, (PFMEA) and eliminate high priority risks using the tool.
You will drive the improvements of Product Integrity metrics and support operations in resolving product quality and reliability issues to ensure continuous improvements.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and implement best practices to ensure new products technical requirements are met
Work with cross-functional program teams to develop and improve our Product Integrity business processes, and ensure manufacturing process steps meet our business and product requirements.
Identify and mitigate product and process risks, quantify severity, and risk level priorities using PFMEA and DFM.
Ensure quality risk assessments are conducted prior to mass production to drive complete risk mitigations
Implement the use of PI tools to document and automate lessons learned implementation
Develop and Implement Product Integrity data bases to facilitate achieving Safety, Quality and Reliability at the source.
Conduct training and provide hands-on expertise in Quality at source and Error-proofing, while working with external Labs and partners
Collaborate with cross-functional teams from Design to Manufacturing to drive Safety, Quality and Reliability performance of our products
Lead the problem solving of manufacturing related issues and ensure lessons learned are captured in new products development
Drive the improvement of products integrity metrics across the products teams, across the product lifecycle.
Lead the development and implementation of high quality PFMEA and all risk assessments activities for new programs.
A day in the life
You will engage with experienced cross-functional teams and third party contract manufacturers to drive key levers of product integrity to ensure safety, quality, reliability and compliance to regulations of our products during mass production.
Your leadership, persistence, and technical experience will be required as you drive the cross-functional team towards our Product Integrity goals.
You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a fast paced program timing, through an open collaborative peer environment.

You will be part of the team who will drive our mission to make Product Integrity the differentiator for Ring's business.
You will be a positive influence in the execution of our mission to design-in quality, reliability and safety across our products, end to end from design stage to mass production.
You will be the lead in achieving Product Integrity at the source as we partner with internal stakeholders and external contract manufacturers.
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field and five years of experience in a related occupation.
Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience is also acceptable
Experienced communication skills in writing and presenting
Experience with hardware reliability testing such as vibration & shock testing, fatigue testing, electrical stress testing, ESD testing, and thermal stress testing.
Experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, use of Quality tools and structured problem solving
Good understanding of the entire product life cycle management in consumer electronics
Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and be effective in working across functional boundaries
Experience of working in a consumer device, or electronics manufacturing organization
Experience in ISO9001, ISO13485, FDA CFR820;
Experience with project management tools
Experience managing external vendors
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines
Proven ability to lead and influence others
Experience in Advance Product Quality Planning requirements and required elements
Knowledge of the following fields : Consumer Electronics Products, Building Standards, DFMEA
Experience with failure analysis techniques : Electrical debug, Cross sectioning, SEM / EDX, and SAM
This position will require some domestic and international travel
