The Senior Demand Analyst is a key member of our Emerson Tool Supply Chain Team. In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of Supply Chain professionals that provides high-level analytics and insights to leaders and executives of different departments.

This role will involve cross-functional coordination with other locations. Analytical skills will be utilized in managing data, generating reports and providing insights.

What you will work on

As a Senior Demand Analyst , your responsibilities include :

  • Report Scoping and Planning Gathers and analyzes stakeholder requirements and provides improvement and recommendation based on customer request
  • Data Gathering Generates quantitative information from global raw data Communicates with resource person to get input / raw data needed for report generation Coordinates with the factory / other support group to obtain product information, bookings, backlog, and sales data Conducts research to gather qualitative information (competitive product information, industry trends, and check product specifications) from internal & external sources that will be used for analysis
  • Data Manipulation Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions Formats extracted data based on expected report output.
  • Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (Excel, Macro, database) Combines and consolidates extracted data from multiple sources using automated tools (Excel, Macro, database), and standardize data structure from different data sources Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information (basic math and statistics)

  • Global SIOP Data Analysis Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive and diagnostic analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis) Identify and provide solution to general inquiries Validates and calculates sales using offline and system tools Communicates issues / concerns to POC regarding results of Analysis Researches product information, industry trends, technical specifications and gathers various data to be used by Sales, Marketing & Finance teams (ei.
  • B2B, Production Report, Line Business Report, Global Sales Trend, Global Backlog Trend, Inventory, PBOM, Forecasting) Identifies and resolves SIOP data related issues with WA leaders and manufacturing sites Performs data integrity check by comparing past reports to determine any internal changes in database.

    Validates correctness and applicability of all world area raw data reports provided / recommended by world area data owners Develops and recommends Global Project Pursuit related reports and presentation to executive meetings.

    Analyzes reports for Executive and Functional Review. Generates, monitors Lead Time and on time delivery.

  • Reporting Creates reports based on standard templates Creates and tests dynamic reports / dashboards based on the designed format Design reports as requested Generates and submits Global Actual Sales Report and Global Backlog Report Generates and submits weekly backlog analysis
  • Project Initiation Assists project owner in gathering, analyzing and clarifying customer requirements; uses technical knowledge to gauge complexity of the request
  • Project Planning Performs research and analysis to validate if the detailed solution is the best fit to meet the requirements Reduces complexity by breaking down large tasks to smaller deliverables ready to be assigned to the project team members.

  • Project Execution Reports own progress back to the project tracking tool Participates in cross-functional testing and peer reviews
  • Project Testing Creates test cases to be used during UAT Introduces and tests proposed solutions to continuously improve the process / tools of the team Implements the necessary fix or improvement for basic functionalities based on the UAT results
  • Continuous Process & Innovation Identifies continuous project ideas Records and reviews / assesses the improvement / innovation raised by the business unit Maps processes as part of the documentation
  • Training Material Development Updates / revises training syllabi, course outlines, lesson plans, and content of existing materials (e.

    What you will need :

  • College degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 4 years’ experience in data manipulation, analysis and reporting
  • Database management experience required
  • Solid understanding of database concept, theories, and applications
  • Knowledgeable in computer database programs and in ERP system such as Oracle / SAP / Business Intelligence other database structures
  • Proficient in MS Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, macros), and knowledgeable in MS PowerPoint and another MS Office application
  • Knowledgeable in Domo / Tableau / Power BI is a plus
