Amazon is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join Amazon in the Philippines. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to new initiatives, will require strategic thinking, and will provide a tremendous opportunity for interactions with Operations, Support, Government Agencies and Finance.

You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to develop and establish processes around compliance, lead business critical projects, as well as identify investment and cost savings opportunities within the network.

Key Responsibilities :

  • PEZA and Government Agencies Compliance including Importation
  • Lead strategic projects to streamline the tracking and process of Government Reporting.
  • Collaborate with Internal and External stakeholders to drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives
  • Identify issues and enhancements to processes, implementing change in conjunction with partnering teams
  • Work with various internal (Accounting, FP&A and Ops Support) and external (Vendors, Government Agencies) stakeholders to set up processes and provide resolution on issues to ensure controls and compliance are in place.
  • Lead and develop the strategy within this business area
  • Strong technical background including Excel, Cognos, SQL, and Essbase
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience; including project management experience, PEZA and BIR Audit
  • BA / BS degree, CPA / CFA a plus
  • Five year of experience in the job offered
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management
  • Excellent grasp of corporate finance fundamentals
  • Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal / external stakeholders
  • Experience in Tax and PEZA Compliance / Audit
  • Strong resourcefulness and ability to find or develop compelling data given limited resources and time
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
