The role of the Operations Project Lead / Manager is to lead,manage and implement significant operationally focused projects.
Theseindividual projects will be specifically defined to deliver benefits to ourmanufacturing operations both internal and external to Dyson.
and ensure alltimeline are met by CM.
The Operations Project Lead / Manager isresponsible for development of operations project plan, co-ordinating crossfunctional resource both internally and externally to implement and deliver theproject objectives.
Under the leadership of the SEA Ops manager, they will alsobe expected to identify future opportunities / benefits to our manufacturingoperations.
The role is a hands on role providingkey leadership in bringing new projects into production and thereafter managingsustaining of this Project at CM(Built / ship)
Therole is to lead an operations team at Category Level to deliver new projectsinto production on time on cost and on quality and to ensure that on-
goingproduction demand is met.
Therole will lead a team of experienced operationally focused projectmanagers / leaders who are responsible for the coordination of cross functionalteams.
These cross function teams are to deliver, monitor and implement allactions related to the implementation of a challenging engineering project intomass production.
Driveadherence to the manufacturing plans for the products that have enteredproduction.
Thecandidate must be able to demonstrate strong leadership with clear hands on approachin delivering the objectives by using proven project management and influencingskills.
They will have the responsibility in to overcome all obstacles inensuring the projects are delivered to time, cost and specification.
Akey attribute for the ideal candidate is to have complete understanding of allaspects of transferring a project from the design phase into mass manufactureand the obstacles that are encountered.
Competent risk andissue management including effective escalation, executive summary, and cleardata based recommendations for decisions making and expenditure.
Thisrole is required to challenge all teams in driving improved performance in allaspects of operations management and notably the results in achievingconsistent manufacturing quality and output post SOP
Ensure that bestpractice manufacturing systems are being used, and to continue to challenge howwe operate within the factories.
Ensure investmentsand capital spending are effectively planned and managed to achieve companystrategy and objectives.
Share a trustingrelationship with team, and to create a well disciplined and result orientatedteam.
Perform any other adhoc duties assigned from time to time by the management.
This roles report to the Head ofOperations. Very close interaction with team members of Dyson teams andexternal manufacturers is paramount to the success of the role.

ManufacturingOperations experience in running hi volume hi mix production, and thedeliverance of complex projects into production.
Manufacturingawareness Understanding the drivers and technologies of a manufacturingorganization.
Knowhow of production planning and itsconstraints / opportunities.
Project / ProgramManagement experience Knowledge of new product realization, including all DFXdisciplines, risk assessment, risk mitigation planning, issue resolution andcommonly accepted best practices.
Industrialengineering skills preferable (minimize cycle time, line balance, labour andmachine effectiveness).
SupplierManagement skills (ensure adequate supplier base to give flexibility, capacityand competitive supplies).
Motivatedby driving continuous improvement to the working practices and processes.
