Description

Leads and provides direction a to Inventory Planners and Inventory Control Executive, and oversees all day-to-day

  • Inventory planning activities
  • Inventory controlling and auditing
  • Network Optimization that impact the working capital
  • Mitigation of Inventory write off cost by managing the ageing stock and depletion plan.
  • Long range inventory projection in volume and in value
  • Initiatives to improve inventory turns to minimize inventory while optimizing OTIF (On time In full)
  • Leads, advises and makes decisions on all majorinventory planning activities. These activities include :

  • Supply and inventory planning,
  • Process development, planning & execution,
  • Customer & client interaction
  • Business partnership, systems
  • Data management & reporting,
  • People, talent & budget management.
  • SUPPLY AND INVENTORY PLANNING

  • Using comprehensive knowledge and full experience, directs inventory strategy and segmentation including incorporation of other relevant strategies and guided collaboration with other functional areas necessary in determining strategies
  • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of supply chain to engage with Supply Chain Planning Center of Excellence (COE) as needed on Cargill Integrated Business Planning (CIBP) development, Planning Projects, Network Design and Optimization projects if there is no Strategic Supply Chain Analytics & Projects role in the organization
  • Provides support to development of long term supply plans, master production plans and distribution plans
  • Provides support to development and execution of inventory plans and managing working capital while improving customer service level
  • Partners with team members data maintenance relative to supply planning and inventory planning
  • Provides support for appropriate issue resolution of mid and near-term tactical issues including involving the appropriate functional areas in decisions
  • Provides feedback and supervision on all supply and inventory processes including maintenance, reviews and updates to the processes
  • Provides support on working capital reduction and tracking methods to show the reduction
  • With direct oversight, maintains data relevant to inventory planning activities including capacity, constraint, logistics, supplier, master and location data.
  • Create the finished goods inventory plans for assigned product(s) or locations, and provide for business review
  • Create orders for network distribution moves and communicate to logistics for execution
  • Manage inventory levels to expected volume and working capital levels and provide solutions when business parameters change requiring a change to inventory expectations
  • INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING

  • Provides support and input for preparing the Inventory Planning inputs for the CIBP cycle including capacity scenarios and recommendations
  • Provides support and input for working with the business Finance Lead to monetize the Supply and Inventory Plans for the CIBP meeting
  • Support leaders in running the CIBP Supply and Inventory Review meeting and publishing the Supply Plans and any action items
  • Collaborates with other functions on CIBP actions and process improvements as appropriate
  • INVENTORY CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT

  • Actively participate and supervise wall to wall count
  • Guide and coach the inventory control analyst in inventory auditing
  • Ensuring that audit findings are closed
  • Validate the theoretical report, inventory reconciliation , different sorts of inventory reports
  • BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT METRIC

  • Measures and analyzes Inventory Planning metrics target such as DOS (days of supply), Inventory turns to measure the cash flow, Ageing Stock
  • Provides technical support and informal coaching around actual measures vs. target measures and communicates action plans to improve performance
  • Communicates and coaches team members on metrics and action plans as part of the CIBP process
  • Participates in continual Supply Planning and Inventory Planning process improvement focus
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge to support root cause analysis to identify and correct Supply and Inventory Planning process deviations
  • PEOPLE, TALENT AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  • Accountable for direct performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement.
  • Manages and provides coaching and / or training to team, including coaching Cargill core values, personal safety, environmental stewardship, community involvement and development of specific competencies / skills.
  • Participates in selection of direct reports and other employees; determines resource need, plans for future workforce needs, and reviews with superiors before making selection decisions
  • Responsible for budgeting duties within area of scope
  • Qualifications

    Minimum RequiredQualifications

  • Bachelor’sDegree graduate preferably Industrial Engineer
  • 5 yearsexperience in Operations, Sales or Supply Chain,
  • Stronginventory management experience
  • 3 yearsexperience in Agri / foods business to business environment
  • Strongcompetence in warehouse and inventory management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • ERP experienced
  • Excellent communication skills (frequent interaction with differentfunctions / levels)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Hands-on problem solver
  • Self-starter, initiative taking
  • Helicopter view, strategic thinker
  • Process & task oriented
  • Ability to perform under time pressure

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experiencein the poultry / dressing plant or food industry
