The Senior Data Science Engineer supports data operations lifecycle of Advanced Analytics projects, provides input into the approach and owns and manages assigned tasks.
They develop and implement ad-hoc business analytics and report on projects of moderate scope. The Data Science Engineer also owns data pipelines and productionizing.
Will assist in regular planning sessions, formulate / provide talent development strategy and lead mentoring junior data science engineers.

Owns data operations lifecycle of AA projects -Drives the approach and Owns and manages tasks.
Oversees the work of more junior team members
Expert ability to extract, transform and stage data for consumption
Independently provides analysis on datasets of significant complexity.
Provides input to strategic direction on data extract, data transformation and data staging; strategic direction on data querying tools.
Provides oversight on data operations for all projects and expertise on data engineering concepts for the broader advanced analytics community, and across the organization
Help direct development of automated and repeatable processes for extracting requested information from database systems and / or building new automated and ad hoc reports
Works on problems of moderate scope / complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Demonstrates the ability to generate relevant, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis
Can communicates business analytics to more senior team and junior business partners
Explore and discover new data sources, and transform raw data extract through profiling, cleaning, mapping and validation with expert resources
Document any changes in data systems, flow, relationships, and dependencies
Help develop, curate, data quality benchmarks and similar standards, identify gaps in the data and eliminate irrelevant data

Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Basic Sciences, Mathematics, or related fields (post-graduate preferred).
With 8 years of applicable experience or a combination of education and experience
Familiarity with big data capture, curation and application development
Advanced knowledge of data transformation to support BI
Knowledge on data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI)
Strong familiarity with relational databases, data warehouse and datamarts
Ability to drive a strategic vision on toolsets to support data visualization in the team
Ability to influence key stakeholders in the adoption of analytics solutions.
Strong knowledge of the business / Understands the political landscape and informal hierarchy within the firm
Strong design thinking, visualization, communication and consulting skills
Can collaborate with internal network at all levels of the organization. Actively nurtures a diverse external network.
Creates strong relationships with business partners to build trust and drive engagement
Be able to mentor and oversee work of more junior data engineers
Able to understand the business value chain and customer lifecycle for the projects they are supporting.
Understands company culture, cooperation & information sharing within the company
