Job Description :
The position will be mainly responsible for providing the essential FP&A support to Corporate Planning and Strategy, Business Development and Project Management, and other strategic initiatives of SLOCPI, SLGFI and SLAMCI.
It will also provide management reporting support to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy and Financial Management Officer.
The main duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows :
Partner with Corporate Planning and Strategy in providing the FPA support and perspective to all monthly and seasonal activities (Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, Annual Planning with PLT, Strategic Plan with Directors, Board Meetings etc.
Partner with Business Development and Project Management team to provide operational business support from a finance perspective to the business units, participate in special projects, and provide required financial analysis.
Support internal audit, internal compliance and external and regulatory audits where necessary.Implement improved processes and controls within Finance as it relates to the FP&A function.
Provide business support to SLOCPI and its subsidiaries on a daily basisPerforms other functions that may be assigned by the superior from time to tim
Knowledge & Abilities
Experience in financial services industry with adequate knowledge in insurance business, as well as asset management and mutual fund business.
Has adequate knowledge and exposure in financial reporting both for internal management and external reporting Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think strategically Preferably with a background in Canadian GAAP reporting Advanced MS Excel and MS Power Point skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work under limited supervision and meet deadlines Has a good grasp of internal operating controls
