WHAT YOU'LL DO
The SEA Marketing Specialist / Senior Specialist will be responsible for both ongoing and ad hoc projects that build BCG’s presence and expertise in the Southeast Asia market.
These projects include but are not limited to both external and internal communications; marketing databases and operations;
and country - and / or industry-specific engagements that showcase BCG’s expertise, impact and thought leadership to the business community.
The Marketing team strategizes and executes all branding and marketing activities. This includes managing media relations, facilitating strategic partnerships, creating platforms and organizing events for sharing BCG's thought leadership, and managing BCG's marketing database.
BCG serves SEA from its six offices in the region Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila.
This position is part of the Southeast Asia Marketing Team and reports directly to the SEA Head of Marketing. This role includes working closely with the SEA Partner Group and BCG’s global Marketing team.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Work closely with the SEA Head of Marketing to shape media and communications strategy, plan editorial pipeline and carry out media engagement for BCG across the priority media channels for coverage in key publications
Have established local media relationships and focus on building relationships with local media and regional / international media
As a secondary focus, establish and maintain relationships with journalists across the rest of the SEA markets to ensure BCG is top of mind when they are seeking stories, comments and data to back articles
Identify key events and conferences in SEA for our spokespersons to join, speak at and network
Identify key industry organizations our spokespersons should be members of
Work with and provide counsel to the senior leadership team, based on the marketing strategy that is aligned with business priorities
Develop and manage bespoke client-focused engagements that showcase BCG’s expertise and experience to the desired target audience
Take the lead in end-to-end event / webinar management, from agenda-setting to post-event follow-up, for priority BCG engagements
Lead and coach marketing administrators and executive assistants who support event management
Create high-quality print and electronic communications for BCG’s clients (direct mail, web, brochures, etc.) and the public at large for country-specific and regional distribution.
Draft and / or edit op-eds, articles and marketing documents for the leadership group
Work with AP local marketing and global practice area marketing teams to publicize BCG SEA activities to the wider BCG community
Support the team in overseeing the ongoing development of the client database (Microsoft Dynamics) and improve utilization by the leadership group and their executive assistants.
Continue to develop the infrastructure required to support marketing activities
Develop and provide training and support materials for all marketing platforms used by both marketing and operations staff
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
A keen sense of the market landscape and your finger on the pulse of current events, topics and trends relevant to our business with an ability to provide cultural or market-specific insights
Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to analyze information and present data in a meaningful way
Clarity, tact, professionalism, maturity and consensus building skills in writing, speaking and presenting information
Exceptional organizational and project management skills combined with an ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and demanding environment
An ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong attention to detail, accurate and thorough
Bilingual fluency or business-level proficiency in English required
Be willing to travel (occasional travel within the SEA region when international travel is permitted)
A strong network of relationships with local business media
Experience working in a professional services marketing or corporate communications capacity
Experience dealing with senior level stakeholders (internal or external)
