The Role : Procurement Sustainability Analyst

The Location : Hyderabad or Manila

The Impact : This role will support the Strategic Procurement team in driving the company toward best in class program performance.

As an integral part of our Category program management team, this individual will support the program management, reporting, analysis, andrelationship-buildingcomponent of the Procurement organization’s Programs.

The role requires a collaborative spirit, an understanding of Strategic Sourcing processes and program management best practices, and the ability to support the implementation and development of program principles within S&P.

Key Responsibilities :

We have a new opportunity for a Procurement Sustainability Analyst. This brand-new role within the Strategic Procurement team will support one of our highest priority areas, driving the company toward best in class program performance.

The successful candidate, will support the development and implementation of a new procurement sustainability program, ensuring that S&P Global works with suppliers committed to our high standards and commitments to reducing our environmental and social impacts, improving supplier diversity, and mitigating human rights and modern slavery risks in our supply chain.

Reporting to the Director Global Procurement, the role holder will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders within the company and with external suppliers.

The candidate is expected to :

  • Supporting the design and implementation of the sustainable procurement program
  • Supporting the implementation of a supplier assessment program, and the enrolment of material suppliers
  • Helping develop and monitor new KPIs to monitor sustainability performance in our supply chain
  • Supporting audits and other supplier engagements mechanisms to ensure suppliers meet our standards, to drive improvement and develop action plans
  • Analyzing procurement processes and practices and alignment with other company policies to ensure appropriate due diligence
  • Producing reports on key metrics to inform the team and other senior leaders
  • Working closely with the Corporate Responsibility team, employee resource groups and other teams to ensure alignment and implementation of best practice
  • Support the sustainability reporting team on external disclosures
  • Performing horizon scanning to stay abreast of new trends, industry best practice and external reporting requirements
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant area
  • 3-5 years of work experience, ideally in a sustainable procurement, ethical sourcing, or other sustainability related role
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Collaborative spirit, an understanding of processes and program management best practices, and the ability to support the implementation and development of program principles within S&P Global.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with external and internal stakeholders
  • Advanced Knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong proficiency and Full understanding of business processes and the role of data in program management.
  • Strong customer centric focus and able to interact with senior leaders
  • Basic exposure to Vendor Management Systems. Experience with Ariba P2P preferred
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally
  • Passion and willingness to learn about sustainable procurement
  • Qualifications :

    Desirable skills / competencies

  • Experience leading, designing, and managing programs with global service providers and stakeholders
  • Exposure to ESG and / or Supplier Diversity
  • Understanding of Indirect Procurement
  • Masters or MBA in a relevant subject, such as sustainable procurement
