Job Summary :

  • Adjudicate death claim first advice and settlements for Wealth Management clients.
  • Minimum requirement : French Language Canadian French able to speak French fluently
  • Needs to be proficient on claim procedures, system processing and tax reporting
  • Processing claims on French Life Claims
  • Reviewing files prior to processing French Express Claims
  • Ensure highest levels of quality and service are achieved
  • Research claim related queries
  • Ability to handle complicated cases with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work
  • Ability to guide junior staff and assist in their learning experience
  • Frequently deal with exceptions, large dollar or complex legal files
  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Thorough knowledge of administration systems (PS, CATS, CP4.2, CLAS AND ADMIN SYSTEM like STANDARD LIFE MAINFRAME & etc).
  • Knowledge of legislation, compliance and tax reporting requirements. Good working knowledge of Manulife contract provisions.
  • Handle complex and sensitive related death claims, talking to family members with empathy & compassion.
  • Adjudicate claims from first notification of death and processing the claim once requirements have been received
  • Work closely with Policy Control and meeting legal requirements to ensure correct affidavits have been completed and ensure accuracy of the claim.
  • Processing the standard number of death claims daily to ensure service levels are being met. Assist with volumes and peak times of the year, working overtime as required.
  • Ability to handle more than one type of product for the area with experience level achieved and very little on the job assistance required.
  • Understanding of financial data in order to reconcile, solve complex problems and make sound judgments and taking appropriate actions.

  • Work with appropriate business partners for effective resolution of suspense discrepancies.
  • Conduct analysis to ensure the client’s requirements are clearly understood, communicated and implemented to provide an effective solution.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
