This position is responsible for managing, maintaining and administering the enterprise-wide SQL databases and company's ERP system DB supporting all locations worldwide.
Install, develop, maintain and modify BI applications, Web applications or integrated programs. Identify and analyze user requirements and recommends appropriate applications or modifications. Maintain and Administer AX
Application Security.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY :
Responsible for the performance, integrity and security of all databases used in the organization.
Responsible for backing up and restoring data (of all types), creation / maintenance of related policies and procedures.
Design and document database architecture and data models (on the cloud and on-premise environments).
Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions
Planning, Installing and Configuring a Database Platform
Conduct database benchmark, assess and recommend tuned databases
Planning, designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery for each database (HADR) based on requirements for its workload
Firm grasp of concepts as it relates to additional options of SQL Server and MySQL and must know what these tools are, how they work, and what they are used for.
Primarily, Clustering, Virtualization,
Replication, and Standby Databases.
Extensive experience in creating SQL scripts for tuning and optimization
Optimize exponential data growth in the cloud and on-premise including data warehouses, data lakes and data analytics.
Implementing performance tuning on the databases based on monitoring
Re-balancing workloads across database servers based on monitoring
Securing databases platforms and individual databases based on requirements and implementation
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's / College degree in Engineering (Computer / Telecommunications), Computer
Science / Management Information Systems, Mathematics or any Business related courses.
Experience maintaining an enterprise system such as , Microsoft Dynamics AX and AX tools such as
ATLAS reporting tool, JD Edwards, People Soft, SAP or Oracle preferably with at least two years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, Dynamics 365
Knowledgeable in cloud computing services.
7 10 years Database management and administration experience
Extensive experience with SQL clustering technology, performance issues and tuning
Strong in Data warehousing, ETL and OLAP technology, concept and methodology
Report design and development experience with SSRS,S SIS
Disaster recovery planning experience with MS SQL server is desired
Solid foundation of technical skills with proficiency in computer systems engineering and networking.
At least 4 years of business and programming experience using three-tier client server environment using relational database management systems.
Sound understanding of corporate goals and activities, administrative and management concepts, theories, tools and practices.
Aptitude, interest, analytical skills to perform computer, network and other electronic systems engineering and design.
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in the organization
Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively deal with subordinates, peers and superiors.
Responsible / able to work outside standard work hours as required to support a worldwide organization
Acts on behalf of the Global IT Manager, whenever delegated to do so, within the limits set forth in the existing practiced limits of authority.
