Project Overview : URC is implementing three USAID funded projects in the Philippines namely : 1) TB Platforms for Sustainable Detection, Care, and Treatment Project : This activity is designed to improve decentralized TB health systems by bolstering health program components at the regional, province, city, municipal, and community levels;

2) USAID Renew Health Project : The primary objective of the project is to help persons who use drugs (PWUDs), people in recovery, and their families obtain access to informal care, self-help or community-based treatment and recovery support to reduce or prevent drug dependence 3) USAID BARMM Health Project : This project aims to support the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to improve access to high-quality Family Planning (FP), Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services.

Position Overview : This Regional Communications Officer will assist URC Projects in the Philippines, BARMM Health, RENEW Health and TB platforms project and in the Asia region with communication products including, weekly reports, social media forms, health highlights, technical briefs, success stories, fact sheets in compliance with USAID rules and regulations.

This position will directly report to HQ Vice President. Job Description : Key Responsibilities :

Provide capacity building / training / orientation to URC communication specialists and knowledge management staff on how to write communication products for USAID projects in line with USAID branding and marking plans and guidelines.

Collaborate with respective Project’s Chief of Party or his / her designee to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on the target audience;

Join and cover, if / when possible, URC and USAID mission teams high level visits

Develop briefs and stories about projects’ results, accomplishments highlighting USAID investments and legacies in the Philippines and the region

Revise communication plans and strategies, as / if needed

Any other relevant knowledge management tasks as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications strategy development preferably with USAID experience

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders and in-country collaborators; and

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills particularly as related to report development;

Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment; working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

Strong written and spoken English

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with excellent MS Word and Excel skills.
