Job Description Finance Business Partner Quezon City Shift : Morning Individual Contributor The Opportunity The position will be responsible for the provision of high-quality financial management information and provide professional advice to Function Heads within MBPS.

To produce monthly financial statements for budget holders to ensure that the organization has an up-to-date position with the finances to support decision making.

He / she shall contribute in the overall corporate reporting and analysis of the organization’s financial position. The incumbent will proactively work with the assigned Function Heads to resolve any concerns or difficulties with their financial performance and will assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

  • With at least 5 years experience as Finance Business Partner or in the Finance Planning and Analysis function. Extensive accounting experience demonstrating highly proficient knowledge & skills, and evidence of up-to-date knowledge Financial and commercial acumen and leadership when undertaking financial reviews and assessments;
  • applying judgement and providing direction on outcomes; Familiarity with major accounting package and office IT systems and proficient with Excel Experience in executing complex, multi-year programs with multiple variables and senior stakeholders, preferably with exposure to global operations and / or financial services Nice to Haves : Execution-oriented with strong focus to deliver targeted outcomes Experience working on a project team, and supporting and providing advise on major financial decisions;
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.

    Excellent written and oral communication skills, ensuring clarity of messages, ideas and facts On the job you will : To meet regularly with function heads to assess and provide awareness of their financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis and advice in adherence to the budgetary control and finance protocols.

    To lead the month and year end processes within MBPS in line with the organiaztions deadlines, ensuring all accrual and prepayments are made in line with financial procedures.

    To analyze the month end financial position, investigate variances and make appropriate adjustments if necessary in line with internal procedures.

    To investigate and report on significant budgetary variances, identifying any remedial action that needs to be taken. To support in the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial reporting, financial statements, and forecasting for management review.

    To work with internal and external audit and ensure follow up and implementation of matters arising. To work on obtaining information that provides more detail to support reporting from the general ledger.

    This could include payroll information and the breakdown of information To liaise with and assist other staff within the MBPS Finance Team to ensure that corporate, statutory and performance monitoring requirements are met.

    Support year-end financial management and reporting including assisting with the completion of the annual accounts. To assist in the preparation of future year budgets taking into account relevant activity data, cost pressures and service developments and working with Function Heads to establish budgetary submissions.

    Develop robust income plans in conjunction with function heads ensuring that opportunities are explored, and risks are quantified.

    To ensure that budgetary information in MBPS Finance budget system is kept up-to-date and is a reliable source of information.

    Analyze the impact of service changes and provide the cost implications of service redesign, adjusting budgets in accordance with changes in service provision if necessary Work with senior managers and service leads to prepare business cases and bids for new business and / or service re-design.

    Support other members of the Finance Team with ad-hoc projects. To include bringing together financial and activity information.

    To work with the Human Resources lead to integrate financial information into the Workforce Report. To contribute numerical and / or graphical information that will form part of Board Dashboards or information showing progress on the MBPS strateg Responsible in managing his / her own workload in order to assist the Finance Team and budget holders in meeting their objectives.

    The level of detail of the work required will need to be assessed taking into account quality of information and timeliness.

    Accountable for ensuring that duties are carried out in accordance with IFRS To keep up to date with relevant financial developments and national guidance.

    Assist in developing training program or non-finance managers to improve financial skills. Contributes to the development of financial policies and procedures within the Finance Team and the organization.
