The Case Manager is the primary contact for all New Business administrative activities and serves as the liaison between internal (e.

g. Underwriter, Titles, Licensing) and external (Agent / Firm / Field Office) customers to gather pre and post issue company and legal requirements

  • We are looking for someone with :

  • Must have at least one-year tenure in current position
  • Should not have any attendance issues or any disciplinary action
  • Meet job expectations and pass all performance metrics in his / her current unit
  • Must be expert on CM process
  • Trained on all CM functions for all products including training
  • Knowledge of the Manulife insurance product by passing the weekly tests given by the trainer
  • Full understanding of the Replacement terminologies
  • Able to ensure quality to all processed cases
  • Knowledge in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to exercise flexibility and judgment
  • Sound product / industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent ability to handle stress with very demanding clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external and internal clients
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Technical competence to navigate through insurance terms and medical references.
  • Ability to work independently and / or as a team.
  • Critical attention to detail for functions such as entering, verifying and comparing data.
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
  • Willing to render overtime and report during weekends or holidays as needed
  • Willing to accept additional challenges and new assignments
  • Must be able to work on rotating shifts
  • On the Job you will :

  • Responsible for case management and processing of new insurance business applications from entry to policy issue
  • Maintains primary ownership of cases during the underwriting process which requires engaging in frequent communication and coordination between life insurance carriers, internal resources and external vendors
  • Facilitates the application and underwriting process for term insurance products.
  • Reviews and order underwriting requirements including Attending Physician Statements and insurance medical exams
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload to ensure case is processed, issued, and placed in a timely manner while maintaining frequent communication to manage customer expectations appropriately
  • Maintains internal processing database to document work activity and communication on all assigned cases.
  • Proactively provide timely and informative case status, answer email inquiries about pending or prospective insurance cases to life insurance carriers
  • Maintains internal processing spreadsheet to document work activity and communication on all assigned cases
  • Follows-up with life insurance carriers on policy delivery requirements, including application amendments, health statements, premium etc.
  • through correspondence, to ensure policy is placed within specified timeframe

  • Monitors daily flow of cases and ensures that daily targets are met via the performance tracker
