Job Description

Microchip is looking for technical writers to document its next-generation semiconductor products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create application notes, data sheets, and other technical collateral.

Creating documentation - writing, editing, formatting, and illustrating technical end-user documentation.

Validating information - working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards.

Managing deliverables - working with cross-functional teams to estimate project scope, gather data, track milestones, communicate progress, mitigate risks, and produce documentation that meets customer expectations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in written form

Willingness to work in a challenging and engaging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional development

Job Requirements

B.A. English, Journalism, Communication, or a degree in a related field.

5+ years of technical writing experience

Experience with FrameMaker, Visio, and Illustrator a plus

Experience documenting semiconductors, firmware, APIs, or software technologies
