McKesson is seeking a dynamic, engaging and analytical leader for the role of Total Quality Manager in our distribution center (DC) located in Suwanee, Georgia.

You will have the tools and resources in place to manage a highly successful team of employees. Initial travel throughout the network to other high volume DCs may be required to increase your knowledge and technical skills.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner for the distribution center leader and operations managers as you plan, lead, and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the entire DC.

You will drive operational excellence by leading internal quality audits and establishing / improving on standard operating processes.

This leader will also establish a strong and exciting onboarding / training program for all new hires while implementing improvement initiatives for our existing team.

The Suwanee / Atlanta location is one of our largest DC’s in the McKesson Medical-Surgical network, with a footprint of 330,000 sq.

ft, over $460M in annual revenue, and processes roughly 5M lines per year. Our warehouse team consists of 200+ team members and 100+ delivery professionals on our transportation team.

The Suwanee DC is located at 1005 Satellite Blvd, Suwanee Ga. 30024 and relocation assistance is available for this position.

Key responsibilities

o Use Lean / Six Sigma tools and methodology to improve, solve problems and for re-engineering processes.

o Develop and manage a DC training program to improve efficiency and incorporate best practices

o Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer care quality, safety, service, and productivity while reducing cost

o Promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels.

o Ensure initiatives are data driven, prioritized properly and carried out timely.

o Coach and mentor team members to increase employee engagement.

o Provide support during change initiatives to all team members.

o Handle changing priorities and obstacles with ease and professionalism.

o Support compliance both internal and external regulatory requirements (FDA / OSHA)

o Must possess high motivation, enthusiasm, and dedication to our team and customers.

o Lead team members in support of DC wide initiatives

Required Skills

o Deep understanding of how departments within a distribution center function and their interdependencies

o Solid knowledge of lean sigma methodologies required (Six Sigma Black Belt preferred)

o Advanced computer skills including typical office suite programs

o Experience with automation and workflow management systems (JD Edwards, QC Software, BOSS etc.)

o Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture

o Ability to investigate issues to root cause and develop safe guards from event(s) occurring again

o Passion and commitment to continuous improvement with demonstrated success in leading and influencing team members

o Must be a positive change leader with strong interpersonal skills

o Proactively identifying potential issues to prevent their occurrence

Minimum Requirements

5+ years operational and managerial experience

Education

4-year degree or related field equivalent experience

General office demands

Position includes standing, sitting, walking in a warehouse environment

Must be able to carry and operate a laptop

Must be willing to work various hours in a 24 / 5 operational warehouse

Management Level : M2
