    Polaris Alpha is seeking a full time software engineer to provide architecture and development support for DoD systems. The ideal candidates will have significant experience designing, implementing, and integrating software and hardware systems. Duties include :

  • Definition of a system and network architecture that incorporates custom software, third-party software, and hardware sensor devices.
  • Documenting the software architecture in conjunction with system engineers.
  • Implement software compliant with requirements and integrate with existing software and systems.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders to report status, perform demonstrations, and solicit feedback in periodic reviews.
  • National Agency Background Investigation required
  • Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years designing, implementing and integrating complex systems using Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in Linux-based software architectures using Java application servers.
  • Experience with Atlassian and related development tools, including : Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Experience implementing systems compliant with cybersecurity requirements (e.g. RMF).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Computer / Electronic Engineering disciplines from an accredited educational institution.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (approx. 10%).
  • Desired Skills
