The Role

Liaise with business analysts and / or other stake holders as appropriate to ensure that requirements are well defined to formulate a high level solution

Produce logical design models where appropriate in conjunction with Senior Systems Analyst / System Architect

Work closely with technical developers to produce a high level solution and document it such that it is possible to walk through with the end users / stake holders

Convincing and presenting proposals by way of high level solutions to end users and / or stake holders

Compile and maintain system test acceptance criteria reflecting requirements documentation The Requirement

  • 7+ solid years of experience in software / solutions development
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis focused on product development activities using structured methodologies
  • Experience working as a Product owner capable of making key decisions based on critical thinking, industry knowledge and solid business analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of the role of the product owner in the software development life cycle
  • Experience with agile framework in coming up with business solutions
  • Experience of the pensions (or insurance / financial) sector is nice to have
  • Liaising extensively with external or internal clients
  • Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
  • Ability to work directly with end users and / or stake holders
  • Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
  • Producing project feasibility reports
  • Presenting proposals / high level solutions to users and / or stake holders
  • Working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  • Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met
  • Knowledge of Unix, databases and data queries (via SQL) preferred
  • Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project
  • Working knowledge of evaluating, raising and progressing incidents
  • Ability to contribute towards test process improvement, to include monitoring and review of the testing processes
  • Knowledge of a range of project and system delivery methodologies.
  • Planning and working flexibly to a deadline
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector (pensions) developments
  • Willing to work in EMEA shift
